Bereavement ProgramsGrief is a normal response to any loss, affecting the grieving person physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Time is necessary to the healing process, but it is only one aspect of effective grieving. In addition to taking time, grief requires intentional “work” by the bereaved in order to achieve a healthy outcome from the process.

In your time of grief, counseling is important in helping you to come to terms with the passing of a loved one. Hughes Mortuary staff can recommend and connect families with trusting and caring grief counseling services in our area and around the nation. Well trained and compassionate, the counseling groups we work with are there in your time of need.

Pre-ArrangementsIf something were to happen to you today, would your family know what to do? Do they know your wishes and would your final arrangements be exactly as you wish?

A host of responsibilities accompanies the loss of a loved one. Pre-arrangements can help in numerous ways:

BASIC SERVICES OF THE FUNERAL DIRECTOR & STAFF $875

This fee for our basic services will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)

This fee includes the following: • Personnel available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year to respond to initial calls. • Arrangement Conference with a Funeral Director. • Coordinating service plans with cemetery, crematory, and/or other parties involved with the final disposition of the deceased. • Clerical assistance in the completion of all paperwork associated with the funeral. • Our cost, including facility maintenance, equipment, inventory costs, insurance, our administration expenses and governmental compliance.

Preparation of the body

Except in special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select funeral arrangements such as a funeral with a viewing. If you do not choose embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

Hughes Mortuary has established a uniform payment policy to serve all families equally. This payment policy enables us to contain our costs & REQUIRES ALL FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS BE COMPLETED (1) FULL DAY BEFORE THE SERVICE TIME OR THE USE OF OUR MERCHANDISE AND PROPERTY.

The loss of a child is the most devastating experience a parent can face-and missing the child never goes away. A piece of yourself is lost and your future is forever changed. About Us…Jimmie and Tawny Hughes are deeply rooted in Southern Utah with Jimmie being a fifth generation native of this beautiful area. As the youngest of ten siblings, Jimmie was raised on the values of honesty, integrity, hard work, and providing service to others.
