    PITCHING MATCHUP: 24-year-old RHP Tyler Wagner makes his 3rd start of the 2015 season in search of his 3rd win. The Las Vegas native faced the MiamiMarlins’ High-A afliate in Jupiter last year while in Brevard County and found success, going 1-0 in 2 starts with 2 runs allowed in 12 innings. Wagner wasMilwaukee’s 4th round selection during the 2012 draft out of the University of Utah...23-year-old RHP Kedry Flores gets his 3rd start of 2015 today in searchof a 2nd win. Flores was acquired by the Marlins in 2014 from the Giants in exchange for INF Casey McGehee. Flores made 20 starts with Single-A San Josein the Giants organization last season, posting a 4-6 record and 4.09 ERA (105.2 IP/48 ER) with 112 strikeouts compared to 32 walks. His season was cutshort after going on the 7-day DL with a right shoulder impingement on August 7. The Azua, Dominican Republic native over his career, has struck out nearly4 batters for every walk (443 strikeouts/111 walks). Over last two seasons, has combined to strikeout 249 batters while issuing just 49 walks.

    SHUCKERS RECAP: The Shuckers split a doubleheader with the Jacksonville Suns on Tuesday night in Jacksonville. Serving as the home team, Biloxi

    blanked the Suns and held them to just one hit in game 1 as starter Brooks Hall tossed six 1-hit innings while striking out 6 and walking just one. Hallalso homered for the rst time in his career (23rd at-bat). Reliever Tanner Poppe pitched a perfect ninth as Hall retired 18 of 20 batters faced and theycombined to retire 21 of 23 in game 1. Orlando Arcia was 2-for-3 to lead the offense as 8 of 9 starters picked up a hit. In game 2, the Shuckers jumped outto a 2-0 lead thanks to a 2-run single from Michael Reed (2x3, 2 RBI) but Jacksonville scored 5 unanswered runs and took a 3-2 lead in the 5th inning ona 2-run homer by Matt Juengel off of Biloxi starter Jacob Barnes. Barnes suffered the loss, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits over 5.0 innings o f work. He walked5 and walked one. (See a listing of all the Biloxi rsts on page 12 of the game notes).

    MISTAKE FREE BASEBALL: After yesterday’s doubleheader, the Shuckers have play error free baseball in 9-straight games and have committed to just1 error in 2015. The error was committed by SS Orlando Arcia in the 1st inning of Biloxi’s 7-1 victory at Pensacola on 4/10. That led to the only unearnedrun of the season.

    HOME AWAY FROM HOME: The Shuckers take on the Jacksonville Suns this week as the home team for the rst time. The Shuckers will serve as thehome team on the road at Mississippi as well, May 6-10 at Trustmark Park in Pearl. Ofcially the attendance for these games will be listed for Biloxi aswell as the overall home record.

    RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY: Through the rst nine games of the inaugural season, the Shuckers have endured two rain-shortened games (4/10, 4/12) and three rainpostponements (4/13 at PNS, 4/15 at MOB, 4/20 at JAX). In total, 2 hours and 32 minutes of rain delay duration and only four games have reached nine innings.

    BILOXI BASEBALL HISTORY: Pro baseball is not totally new to the Gulf Coast, but it is the rst since 1908. TheGulfport-Biloxi Sand Crabs of the Cotton States League played half a season in Biloxi during the summer of 1908.Many Major League and som Minor League teams held spring traing in the area. Even the 1920 Milwaukee Brewersof the American Association (direct descendant of the current Brewers) trained in Gulfport. See below.

    COACHING STAFF

    Subero, 42, begins his second season in the Brewers organiza-

    tion as manager at the Double-A level. Subero led the Huntsville

    Stars to a 77-63 record and a postseason berth last season.

    Prior to joining the Brewers, Subero managed ve seasons in

    the Dodgers organization at Class-A Inland Empire (2009), Dou-

    ble-A Chattanooga (2010-12) and Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

    (2013). He led the Lookouts to the playoffs in 2011 after clinching

    the Southern League’s second-half North Division title with a 42-

    27 record after the All-Star break.

    During his only season as a manager in the White Sox organization, Subero led Double-A

    Birmingham to a 74-63 record and a Southern League playoff berth in 2008.

    Subero began his coaching career in the Rangers organization, including two seasons as

    hitting coach with the Rookie Gulf Coast League Rangers (1999-2000) and seven seasons

    as manager with the GCL Rangers (2001-02), Class-A Clinton (2003-05) and Class-A Ba-

    kerseld (2006-07). His clubs reached the postseason in each of his three seasons with Clinton. Subero owns a 871-914 (.488) record over 13 seasons

    minor-league manager.

    Guerrero, 48, enters his 13th season as a coach in the Brewers organization. He previously coached at Double-A Huntsville (200

    2014) and Triple-A Nashville (2009-11). In addition, he spent two seasons as hitting coordinator from 2012-13.

    Guerrero served as manager for the Northern Division in the 2007 Southern League All-Star Game after scheduled manage

    Money pulled out of the contest to coach in the All-Star Futures Game. Another career highlight came in July 2009 when he serv

    the pitcher for Brewers rst baseman Prince Fielder during the MLB Home Run Derby in St. Louis. Fielder won the contest.

    Before coaching, Guerrero had a 19-year playing career that included stints in the minor leagues with Toronto and Milwaukee. He

    played professionally in Mexico, Taiwan and the independent Northern League.

    The former inelder played in the Brewers’ farm system with Class-A Stockton (1986-88), Double-A El Paso (1989-90) and Tr

    Denver (1991-92). In 1998, Guerrero won a league championship in Taiwan, claiming the batting title with a .361 batting average.

    Guerrero’s father, Epy, was a renowned Major League scout in the Dominican Republic, while his brother, Mike, is the rst base coach with the Brewers. S

    and his wife, Jessica, reside in Huntsville, Alabama.

    COACH, SANDY GUERRERO

    Hook, 46, is in his eighth season in the Brewers organization. He served as pitching coach at Double-A Huntsville each of the past

    seasons.

    Hook originally joined the organization as pitching coach at Huntsville in 2008, and spent three seasons in the same role with Cla

    Wisconsin from 2009-11 before returning to Huntsville (2012-14).

    This past offseason, he served as pitching coach with the Glendale Desert Dogs in the Arizona Fall League.

    Prior to joining the Brewers, Hook was the pitching coach for the Florence Freedom of the independent Frontier League from 200

    He also spent three seasons as the pitching coach for Northern Kentucky University from 2000-02.

    ook was a pitcher for 11 professional seasons (1989-99), including two years in the Major Leagues with San Francisco from 1995-96. He went 5-2 with a
