Handique Girls’ College Sports Cell

Handique Girls’ College Sports Cell took the initiative to form a football team of students in the month of January 2017 and accordingly the team has been given an initial coaching by the Guwahati College Sports Cell. The team first played a full time Match against Nagaon Women Football Team in an invitational Match held at Amsoi, Nagaon in June 2017.

The second Match was played at Noonmati Oil Field against Makhibaha Anchalik Women Football team in 20th August 2017 and won the match.

In the 31st August of 2017 The Makhibaha Anchalik Krira Sangha invited Handique Girls College Football Team for an Exhibition Match against Makhibaha Anchalik Women Football team at Makhibaha, Nalbari Assam. Our Team played well and won the match.

Volleyball coaching for 30 days was organized by Handique Girls’ College Sports Cell in the college premises to train the college Volleyball Team in the month of April 2017. After the team members were trained rigorously they took part in various tournaments organized by different Institutions.

Handique Girls’ College Adventure Sports Club

In the month of May-2016 some of teaching Members, Principal as well as some Students of the College unanimously agreed to form an Adventure Sports Club under the name of HANDIQUE GIRLS’ COLLEGE ADVENTURE SPORTS CLUB. Under the banner of the club, groups of students and teachers successfully completed various Trekking events.

Rani Garbhanga Trek (Assam): This is a reserve forest located in the Assam Meghalaya border close to Guwahati. Our College Trekking Team undertook this trail on 29th July 2016.

The Basistha Uphill Trail:. Is a part of Rani Garbhanga Reserve forest. Our trekking team undertook the trail on 30th June 2017 with the theme CONNECT WITH NATURE.

D 𝒁𝒁��𝐮kou Valley Trekk (Nagaland): The Dzukou Valley is located at the border of Manipur and Nagaland in northeast India. This valley is well known for its natural environment, flora and fauna. The rare Dzukou Lily is found only in this valley.Some of our students and Teachers along with Principal visited this beautiful valley and successfully completed this trek from 1st Oct. to 5th Oct. 2017.

Roing Mehao Trek (Arunachal Pradesh: Mehao Lake, a natural lake in the midst of lush green forest, from 500 metres to 1500 metres altitude above sea level forms part of the Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary which is about 17 km from Roing in Arunachal Pradesh, India. This natural stretch of Water spans over 4 sq km and attracts a number of wild ducks. The surroundings of the lake are rich in flora and fauna. Some of our students and teachers along with Principal visited this beautiful valley and successfully completed this trek from 4th January to 12th January 2018.

David Scott Trail (Meghalaya): Our College Trekking Team successfully completed yet another trekking event on 9th and 10th March 2019 in The David Scott Trail in Meghalaya.
