RN to BSN Korean Nurse Program
Registered nurses educated in Korea have successfully passed NCLEX-RN
The Korean Nurse Program provides an opportunity for Korean Nurses to strengthen their professional skills within the U.S. healthcare environment and to develop their proficiency in English.
Highlights of Korean Nurse Program
Courses in oral and written communication
Nursing coursework combined with field experiences
Transitional clinical experience to serve as an introduction to the American health system
Admissions Requirements
Have earned a diploma from an accredited Korean nursing school and show evidence of academic proficiency.
Have professional nursing experienced, preferably in a hospital setting.
Have taken and passed the National Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX).
Show evidence of intermediate-level English skills.
English Proficiency Requirement
Key to successful completion of nursing program and professional nursing practice.
New JCAHO Guidelines may require TOEFL Must have a TOEFL Score of 550 or higher by the
end of Term I of program.
Student is responsible for developing their English skills.
Highlight of Field Experience
Curricular Practical Training (CPT) enhances the application of nursing theory within the U.S. healthcare context.
Optional Practical Training (OPT) provides the student opportunity to work at one of Eastern’s health partner sites at the end of the program
