There has been an attack on the word of God since creation. Satan cast doubt upon God’s Word in the Garden of Eden. In Genesis 3:1, Satan said to Eve, “Yea, hath God said”. He questioned the authority of God’s Word. Since Genesis chapter 3, history proves that this attack has not ceased. Satan’s desire is to make God’s word extinct. Even today, this same attack has been waged on God’s word. Society has tried with success to get rid of God’s Word in schools, government, and judicial settings. THE BIBLE WAY TO HEAVEN

Realize That God Loves You. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16).

The Bible Says That All Men Are Sinners. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory to God.” (Romans 3:23).

God’s Word Also Says That Sin Must Be Paid For. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

The Good News Is That Christ Paid for Our Sins. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8).

We Must Personally Pray and Receive Christ by Faith as Our Personal Saviour. The Bible Says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13).

God uses His word to purify us. Purify means to make clean, wash, or cleanse from defilement. Notice that the purifying hinges on obeying God’s word. The emphasis is not on just reading or hearing the Word, that is easy, but on following through with what it says to do. Read Ephesians 5:25 and Psalm 119:11. The Bible is a tool and a resource. If we will hide it in our heart it will prevent us from sinning against God. It is through the Spirit that we understand and can obey. Read John 16:7-13. The Word of God shows us how to live every aspect of life.

Do you feel you do not get anything from God’s word? Maybe you go through times when it is important to you and times when it is not. Ask the Spir i t to help you. Spend t ime consistently in God’s word each day. Meditate and ask God to reveal you truth.

Peter says that we are born again by the Word of God. Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” It all begins with God’s Word. Read John 3:1-18. Notice the emphasis placed on believing on Jesus Christ for eternal life. We are born again by believing on Jesus Christ. John 1:1-3 tells us that Jesus Christ is the very Word of God and this is who we are to believe on. Peter tells us we are not born again by works, money, or tradition. He emphasizes this again from verse 18. You cannot do enough good things in this world to save you from hell. You cannot go to church enough, read your bible enough, or be better than someone else. We are born again only by Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 4:12 says, “The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing assunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” This is the work of God’s Word. It is God’s Word that convicts of sin, converts, changes, and cleanses a person. I did not start growing as a Christian until I picked up the Bible and started reading & studying it on my own.

Though the world has tried to throw out God’s Word, Peter tells us that the Bible will endure forever. How long is that? It will never go away. You cannot get rid of the Bible. Read Isaiah 40:6-8. We will die and the earth will be destroyed but God’s Word will endure. Peter tells us we should hunger, crave, and desire God’s word as a baby does a bottle. Think on that for a moment. A baby must have its milk many times throughout the day and will cry if he doesn’t get it. How is your desire for God’s Word? How important is the Bible to you? You can tell how important something is to someone by how much time they invest in it and how long they work at it.

Oh, how the world is trying to do away with God’s Word. The very foundation that our country, its laws, and constitution were founded upon. Without God’s Word, who says what is right or wrong. Truth is then up to each individual.
