REMINDER: Event Registration Changes In 2017, the Adult Leaders made the decision that families need to prepay for their event registrations

with a check or money order. The payment will be returned to you after you have attended the event. If

you were unable to attend the event, your payment will be deposited and serve as a reimbursement to

the Parent Leaders Account. The purpose for this is to prevent wasting Council funds on members for

events that they were unable to attend.

Congratulations Victoria Swift!

Victoria Swift, a Gray County 4-H Team Eagle shooter, was presented with a National

Rifle Association qualification award on October 29th, after competing over the last sev-

eral months.

The American Rifleman qualification program is a progressive course of fire requiring

shooters to meet nationally defined scoring criteria in each of the prone, kneeling, and

standing positions.

4-H YOUTH COUNCIL REPORT by Tony Soria

The Gray County 4-H Council met on Sunday, November 4 for their regular meeting. After the opening exercises, club reports were given by the club representatives and council chairs. One of the council goals of reaching a membership of 135 members has almost been reached with a current enrollment of 129 members! The Council discussed the County-wide Christmas Party and set the date of Sunday, December 16 at 3:00 p.m. at the Gray County Annex. ALL 4-H members and their families are encouraged to attend. Members will assist with the snacks. Boys will bring salty snacks and girls will bring sweet snacks! 4-H Members are also encouraged to participate in the County-wide Community Service activity. 4-H members should bring a package of new athletic socks to donate to the Socks-for-Soldiers activity. The Family Night at the Bulls was discussed and more details will be shared at the next meeting. The Council also appointed a committee to design an new Gray County 4-H T-shirt. Ideas can be directed to the t-shirt committee.

Next meeting is scheduled for January 13, 2019 @ 4:00.

ADULT/PARENT LEADERS COUNCIL The next Adult Leaders Council meeting is scheduled for March 7th, 2019 @ 6:30 p.m. in the Gray County

Annex. Discussion topics include Spring Fund Raisers and New County 4-H Shirts.
