Unplug machine to finish cleaning process. Slide 4 3.After unplugging machine, unscrew metal cup holders. Wipe down machine and metal cup holder parts with hot soapy water. Put the shake machines near each other on the stainless steel table. The last shift of the day, cover with a sheet. Slide 5 Malt/Shake Machines: 2014 BC WI 4-H Food Stand -4. You must be 16 years of age to run the shake machines. Tight fitting latex gloves must be worn when using the machines. Do not stick anything in the malt cup when blade is running. Cover with plastic wrap and store any extra in the refrigerator overnight. 2. Pump hot water thru the machine until water runs clear. Ensure that all cheese has been cleaned out of the neck of the machine. Slide 7 3.Take machine apart to clean. Start by unscrewing the pump handle. 4.Unscrew coupling from around pump spout. Take care not to lose the 2 ball bearings. Wash all pieces of the machine with hot soapy water. Let the parts dry overnight on the counter were the machine was used. 2014 BC WI 4-H Food Stand. Machine Cleaning 7 Slide 9 The machine is put back together in the morning. Make sure the bearings are in the pump shaft. Put the wire connector into the pump. The pump handle is inserted into the cover do not tighten, until the spout is put back in. Tighten connector nuts.
