Job Description – Seafood Processor

We are accepting applications for the Summer Season for our Western Alaska operations. Applicants must complete the on-line application prior to attending a recruiting event. If you are interested in this exciting job opportunity, please read the job description below.

Responsibilities:

Processing employees will process raw seafood products either on-board our floating processors, or on a land based processing plant, in remote areas of Alaska.

Duties include sorting, butchering, cleaning, weighing, and boxing various seafood products. May also include guiding product into automated machinery and cleaning or sanitizing the work area. Other duties may also be assigned.

The work environment may be cold, wet, and noisy, and will require the employee to work repetitively with hands, wrists and elbows while standing for up to 16 hours per day, seven days a week.

Work availability: May through mid-November All Icicle Seafoods employees are required to wear protective safety gear and are responsible

for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for self and others.

Qualifications:

Must be available to work from June - September Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have a basic understanding of the English language, including the ability to follow written

and/or verbal instructions. Processing employees must be able to walk quickly to designated areas in the event of an

emergency, and must be able to follow emergency instructions. Able to work with seafood, including various types of fish and shellfish. Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the work shift. Must follow all directions and adhere to work rules. Salem Pools is hiring for a full time pool cleaner providing routine pool cleaning and maintenance year

round for residential and business customers. This is a full time position with occasional overtime. Work

hours are Monday- Friday, 7am-3pm (Summers hours), 8am-4:30pm (Winter hours). Employer is willing to

train. Starting wage is $10.50/hr plus 10% commission on sales once regular route is assigned.

Duties:

Check pools for dirt and debris and use specialized equipment to extract both.

Scrub pool floors and walls using sponges, soap and chemicals.

Perform vacuuming activities in hard to reach places inside the pool.

Clean and disinfect drain pipes to make-certain that no clogs are apparent.

Empty pool traps and filters and replace either or both in case of wear and tear of malfunction.

Fill pool with water after maintenance activities have been performed & check for appropriate pool

chemistry.

Store pool equipment and tools in a proper manner.

Skills/requirements:

Must have clean driving record, Class C license

At least 5 years of driving experience-
