We hope everyone is doing well as we all adjust to this new way of life. Mrs. Nickel HERE and Mrs. Schurman HERE continue to be available by email. We are both checking our emails from 8:00-3:00pm each day. Mrs. Schurman is checking in the mornings only on Fridays. Please continue to look for our tips and activities we will continue to send out on Fridays for family use the following week. Mrs. Nickel will send for ECC/Elementary and Mrs. Schurman will send information for Middle School. Please find the link HERE to an article that helps us understand how some of the emotions we are feeling are a type of grief we are experiencing. Another good resource from the Texas Counseling Association is the importance of creating schedules for your children. See some examples HERE. Last week Mrs. Schurman shared in her Friday corner some free counseling resources if any families are in need of these services. Please find those listed here. CONGRATULATIONS!
"The Musketeers and the Girl," one of our middle school enrichment teams, won one of the ten $1000 drawing prizes from the Fluor Engineering Challenge. The challenge was to design a machine that would knock down an eraser from a wicket with a ping pong ball using limited materials. Congratulations to Ms. Quatrini and our 5th graders, Athena, David, Christian, and Hayden! Way to go, Saints!! We are very proud of you!
A NOTE FROM BASC
As we are now not returning to school until May 4, all families enrolled in the Full Time Flat Rate plan for BASC will be contacted regarding April tuition, so please look for more information regarding refunds and/or adjustments. REGISTER FOR BASC (BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE) PROGRAM Registration for 2020-2021 is now open. Please follow the link to complete your registration HERE and secure a spot in the program. Registration fees are: $30 for families registering ONE child, and $50 for families registering TWO or MORE children. Once you have completed the online registration form, your registration fee will be added to your FACTS account.
