Dear Members,

Once again, it is time for our next Annual General Meeting. This

time round it will be held in Malacca hosted by our dynamic

member, who is also the TPKN (Pergigian) of Melaka,

Dr Norliza Mohammad. Thank you Dr Norliza. Believe me, she

has an exciting array of event for all of us.

The importance of this meeting should be highlighted too. I will

soon be relinquishing my presidency to the President Elect,

Dr Sharol Lail Sujak. Alongside him will be new ones who will

sit in the Executive Board. We hope many of you will come to

this important meeting to nominate or volunteer and vote to be

in the Board.

In today’s evidence-based practice, updating our knowledge is

important. Our scientific discussions at our meeting is therefore

important. This time round we will be discussing on “problems/

issues” not only important to improve the quality of life of the

community we work in but also of our professional relevance as

Specialists contributing to the nation’s call towards a healthy

population in 2020.

I am also happy to inform you that MADPHS alongside MDA

has recently met the Pengarah, Bahagian Saraan dan Perkhid-

matan, Jabatan Pentadbiran Awam at Cyberjaya regarding our

specialist status. This issue will also be raised at this meeting.

We therefore hope to see as many as of you as possible there for

the upcoming meeting. Many thanks!
