Total of Rs. 184,120,963** received for Rahat- Uttarakhand from around the world

41,918 individuals and 186 companies joined us by extending financial support

Individual contribution - Ranging from Rs. 20 received from the remotest parts of the country to Rs. 10 lakh from an Indian from Singapore.

27,639 employees of 186 companies participated in contributing Rs. 63,954,928 . This includes 100% matching contribution from 58 companies .

Star India Uttarakhand Campaign - A total contribution of Rs. 2,500,000 from STAR and Rs. 1,349,070 from about 400 viewers from remote parts of India. And the best part was that a lot of people in Uttarakhand could relate immediately ..

The road ahead..

Committed to work for 3 years in the region; primarily on health, menstrualhygiene, toilets in schools, aanganwaris, libraries, training, employmentgeneration.

As health infrastructure is non- existent at many places, Goonj will besupporting voluntary efforts, pharmacists, Asha workers, to tackle basic issuesapart from running regular medical camps. Also fully supporting theconstruction of a hospital in Guptkashi region

We will implement some successful experiments & learning’s like Sujni,Vaapsi, Stitching centers etc. from our campaigns in other disasters.

We will scale up our flagship initiative ‘Cloth for Work’ to empower andencourage local communities to address key gap areas.

Repairing infrastructure; Repair of existing structures like schools,community spaces. Reviving traditional Gherats for small scale electricityproduction/chakki purpose.
