Advanced SorbentsThe 3M range of sorbents are designed to absorb a variety of liquids from maintenance fluids, lubricants, oil and petroleum based liquids, to a wide range of acids, bases, coolants and other hazardous fluids.

3M sorbents are lightweight, easy to deploy in the event of a spill and creates less waste. 3M sorbents are non abrasive, dust free and easy to clean up. There are configurations available to suit almost any spill.

Microbundle TechnologySince pioneering the synthetic sorbent, 3M has continued to develop the technology of its sorbent range. 3M’s patented microbundle technology employs millions of tiny voids to absorb liquid - effectively doubling the capacity of the material. This ensures that less sorbent is required for a spill and there is less waste.

Important Information3M sorbents are relatively inert and do not alter the chemical properties of absorbed liquid. Used sorbents should be handled, labelled and transported in accordance with safety and environmental regulations for the absorbed liquid.

When handling chemicals you must be aware of potential health & safety hazards which exist. The correct respiratory protection and personal protective equipment must be used to protect against the hazard.

3M™ Petroleum SorbentsProven performers3M petroleum sorbents are designed specifically to control, clean and recover oil and other petroleum based fluids. They repel and float on water while absorbing hydrocarbon based fluids.

These sorbents are available in many configurations including, booms, sheets, pads, pillows and rolls. The 3M sorbent range can be reused, with 90% of the absorbed oil able to be rung out and reclaimed.

3M™ Mini-booms T4This boom can be used to contain and encircle small spills. The T4 is easy to deploy and can be used in many applications.
