STEP 1
Before you assemble your 3D boat, trace around each piece to create a template. This will help you later if you decorate your boatwith paper.
STEP 2
Assemble your 3D boat before decorating to ensure easy construction. For permanent assembly you may need to glue the piecestogether.
STEP 3
Paint your boat white. Allow to dry. This is not essential but provides a good base for painting.
STEP 4
Look to our boat designs for inspiration or come up with your own.
STEP 5
Sketch out your design onto a piece of paper before you start to decorate your boat. Once you have a design, transfer it lightlyonto your boat using a pencil. This is not essential, but helps with planning your design.

Paint your design onto your boat. Allow to dry.
STEP 7
Gently apply a coat of glitter paint to add a touch of sparkle.
STEP 8
Alternatively, you could decorate your boat using craft paper. Lay your template (created in Step 1) on the reverse side of yourcraft paper, trace the shape and cut out.
STEP 9
Attach the craft paper to your boat using slightly watered down PVA glue.
