Movie: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Story based on video game, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time developed by Ubisoft Montreal in 2003.

Research (Characters)

Character Name: Dastan

Original Cast: Jake Gyllenhaal

Dastan is the main character in the movie. Dastan is adopted by King Sharaman when he was little and becomes Prince of Persia. He shows great courage and wisdom during battle and is favoured by the King. He later saves Persian King and the kingdom from falling in the hand of his evil uncle.

Character Name: Princess Tamina

Original Cast: Gemma Arteton

Tamina is the female lead and protagonist in the movie. She is the guardian of the Dagger of Time, a gift from the god. Whoever that holds the dagger is able to control and turn back the time. When the dagger falls into the hand of the evils, she teams up with Dastan to prevent the disasters from happening. Eventually, she develops feeling for Dastan.

Character Name: Nizam

Original Cast: Sir Ben Kingsley

He is the King’s brother and the main antagonist in the movie. He regretted saving his brother when he was little and longs for his power. Therefore, he decides to kill the King and put the blame on Dastan. Besides, he is also seeking for the Dagger of Time in order to to achieve greater power. Unfortunately, his plan failed and he is killed by King Tus.

Character Name: King Sharaman

Original Cast: Ronald Pickup

He is the king of Persia. He adopted Dastan from the streets. King Sharaman is burned to death by the robe presented by Dastan, which is poisoned by Nizam beforehand. Luckily, he is saved when Dastan manages to turn back the time by using the dagger.

Character Name: King Tus

Original Cast: Richard Coyle

King Tus is Dastan’s brother in the movie. He was killed by Nizam when he decided to trust Dastan that he is not the murderer of the King. However, his death is erased by Dastan and he manages to kill Nizam in the end.

Character Name: Zolm

Original Cast: Gísli Örn Garðarsson

Zolm is the antagonist in the film. He is the leader of Hassasins and he works with Nizam to get the Dagger of Time. He is able to control snakes but he is killed by his own ability at the end while fighting with Dastan.

[ Scene 1 – Prologue ]: Showing a buff tall guy

Narrator: This is Dastan. He was taken in by King Sharaman when he was a little boy. He was given an enormous amount of love and care from the King himself. One day, Dastan is fighting a soldier. After defeating the soldier, a shiny dagger drops.

[ Scene 2 ]: A figure who turns out to be Uncle Nizam enters a room where another which is the sorcere was waiting.

U.N: How's the robe?

Sorcerer: Almost done splash powder

[ Scene 3 ]: King Sharaman is seen walking near the garden.

Narrator : This is King Sharaman, the king who took Dastan in. He has always favour Dastan eversince he first saw him.

( Dastan enters )

King Sharaman : Dastan, my son!

Dastan : Father, may I present to you a gift? clicks finger

( enters Uncle Nizam with the robe )

Dastan : takes the robe from U.N and pass it to King Sharaman

King Sharaman : Ah, such smooth and silky robe. Beautiful! clicks finger Nizam!

U.N : walks towards King Sharaman

King Sharaman : put hands out wide Wear it on me if you may.

( U.N did as was instructed )

King Sharaman : Marvelous! looks at Dastan Prince Dastan!

Dastan : bows Yes, Father.

King Sharaman : slowly turns to Prince Tus Prince Tus!

Prince Tus : bows Father?

King Sharaman : Both of you, brothers, must always be united.

Dastan & Prince Tus : slightly bows Yes, Father.

As King Sharaman looks around, suddenly he felt something was wrong.

King Sharaman : suddenly starts to struggle and screams

Dastan : quickly kneels Father! Father!

Prince Tus : panics Father! Father!!

( King Sharaman fell onto the floor, struggling and then stopped moving )

[ Scene 4 ]

As Dastan was about to be framed and attacked by Uncle Nizam and Prince Tus...

Prince Tus : The robe must be poison! Seize the murderer!!!!!!!! draws out sword

Uncle Nizam : also draws out sword

Princess Tamina : This way!!! grabs Dastan's hand and pulls him

[ Scene 5 ]

Narrator : Princess Tamina and Dastan ran away and found a suitable place to settle down. While they settle down, Princess Tamina told Dastan about the importance of the dagger he was holding and how it would affect the timeline if it falls onto the enemy's hand.

( Shows Dastan and Tamina sleeping comfortably with the dagger near them )

( A soldier appeared )

Soldier : puts up sword right on top of Dastan

Dastan : sensed the incoming and quickly opened his eyes

( The soldier and Dastan started fighting and the soldier grab hold of the dagger )

Dastan : quickly turns over to Tamina who's still asleep and shook her Tamina! Tamina! The dagger is gone!

Tamina : abruptly awakes WHAT?! turns over and face Dastan Do you know how iportant is the dagger? Let's go chase him!

Dastan : speechless for awhile Jinjja? (“Really?”) I go, you stay abruptly stood up and ran

Tamina : looks on as Dastan run

[ Scene 6 ]

Narrator : As Princess Tamina stays and wait, Dastan went on a journey to find the soldier and the stolen dagger. He endured passing all the difficult stairs and finally reached the soldier's hideout.

( Dastan is seen looking furiously around for the soldier and the soldier suddenly appears behind stealthily )

Soldier : stealthily creeps behind Dastan and draws out his sword and launched an attack

( Dastan fights back and they started fighting )

Dastan : while fghting WHERE – IS – THE – DAGGER?

Soldier : Somewhere you won't find it

( They continue to fight, the soldier was defeated there after )

[ Scene 7 ]

Narrator : After searching high and low, Dastan found the whereabouts of the dagger and who has it.

Dastan : saw Uncle Nizam trying to insert the dagger Wait! SSTTTOOOPPPPP!!!!!!!

U.N : halts

Dastan : Uncle Nizam! Why are you doing this?!

U.N : I longed for the throne!

Dastan : clenched fist But you kill father!

[ Scene 8 ]

Dastan : draws sword and launch an attack on Uncle Nizam Wae geu reo neun go ya? Wae geu reo nya go?! Wae?! Wae?! Wae?! ( “How could you do this? How could you?! Why?! Why?! Why?!” )

U.N : blocks attack and stunned for awhile (confused face) Whaat?

Dastan : You have everything! Family! Power! Resources! Is that not enough?!

U.N : Noooooooo! I want MORE!

(U.N flashbacks to the past where he and his brother King Sharaman were still young. They were hunting and suddenly King Sharaman accidentally tripped and fell. U.N saved him after that)

U.N : couldn't handle the pressure anymore and tried to activate the dagger

Dastan : reaches out for the dagger and accidentally activate Noooooooo~

[ Scene 9 ]

Narrator : Dastan activated the dagger and now time is slowly rewind. He is sent to the past. To where, King Sharaman was wearing the robe.

Dastan : shocked Nooooo! abruptly took off the robe

King Sharaman : holds Dastan's shoulder What is wrong, my Dastan?

Dastan : Uncle Nizam had poisoned the robe!

U.N : surprised No, I didn't!

Dastan : Then how about you tried it on?!

U.N : feeling insecure and draws out sword and launch an attack on Dastan

King Sharaman : quickly hides behind Prince Tus

Prince Tus : draws sword Protect the kiiiiinnnnnggggg!!!!!!

( Prince Tus slash Uncle Nizam and Uncle Nizam fell onto the ground, dead )

[ Scene 10 ]

(King Sharaman, Prince Tus and Dastan are walking)

King Sharaman : turns to Dastan Dastan, you, have made all of us Persians proud more than ever.

Dastan : Thank you, father.

King Sharaman : You know, ever since I took you in, I had already known that you would be someone great.

Dastan : Thank you, father.

Narrator : After Uncle Nizam was killed, King Sharaman had announced the wed of Prince Dastan and Princess Tamina.

(Scene ends with Prince Dastan and Princess Tamina holding hands and kiss)
