Centennial Hall, Fair Park
It’s going to be a Glitzmas Christmas Market this year! Tell your friends and family all tickets are
available online – www.ChiOmegaXmas.org and General Admission tickets are now at area Tom
Thumb stores at their Customer Service counters.
The Market only works with full alumnae participation. Please consider a Volunteer shift. Just click

on this link: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0f4da4a72fa0fa7-chiomega1. A parking pass will
be mailed to you.
We especially need help in the Merchant Hospitality area this year. Call the Chi O office for
details, 214.890.1999. You can also show support by displaying a yard sign or selling tickets. Again,
call the office for those. For our Facebook savvy members, we urge you to share our promo posts
on your timelines.
Many alums have already generously donated to the cause by becoming Market Sponsors. It’s not
too late! That can be done through the website also. The sponsorship tickets will be mailed to
donors on Nov. 1st
.
Finalizing Market Details are COCM steering committee members:
Left: Sarah Staats, Mandy Escobedo, Natalie Devero
Center: Alex, Bjornnes, Lizzy Newman
Right: Emily Thorsen, Jenny Zimmerly, Beth Anderson
Grab a friend or husband and come to the Preview Party on Nov. 16th. It’s a great opportunity to
shop and socialize at the same time with cocktails, appetizers and entertainment by Hunter
Sullivan. A special guest this year is HGTV celebrity and author, Nicole Curtis, the Rehab Addict.
She’ll be signing her book, Better than New, at Preview Party and First Call. If you purchase in
advance, the Market gets a share of the book sales. Brenda Cockerell, a local author, is also
coming with her book, In Grandma’s Garden.
Our Market Chairs, Mandy Escobedo and Amy McAleavey, are working overtime along with
Merchant Chairs Hilary Dooley and Jackie Engwicht. All four of these ladies are repeating their
positions from COCM 2015 and were are so grateful for their "double duty."
Also, please give special thanks to these ladies who work behind-the-scenes and accidentally
signed long-term COCM contracts: Beth Anderson (ass’t Treasurer), Margaret Gall
(Tickets/Mailings), Kelly Little (Security/Signage), Marsha McManus (Acknowledgements), and
Sarah Staats (Printing).
2016 fall recruitment report
Chi Omega announces 63 outstanding PNM's as fall recruitment ends with the University of
Mississippi. Twenty-one of these include our LEGACIES who have a mom or a sister who is a Chi
O. Dallas recruitment continues to grow with High School Chairmen completing RIF forms from 13
area high schools. They do an amazing job throughout the summer and have collected over 450
forms to date. Alumna support is a critical part of this process that allows our chapters to pledge top
candidates, and we appreciate your involvement. Connie O’Neill keeps the database current with
all of our actives and pledges, and Diane Brooks handles January rush.
Please contact Diane concerning January rush and RIF forms. Thanks to Diane for handling this
job.
If you have a high school senior, it is an IMPORTANT part of the process to have her visit the Chi O
chapter at the university of her choice.
--Nan McGee Dallas ARIC
Please congratulate these new PNMs! Legacies are marked in bold.

Spread the good news!
On October 5th, SMU Chi Omega held our annual
fashion show, Work It For Wishes, benefitting Make-
A-Wish North Texas. The evening included the latest
fall and holiday trends, modeled by our actives!
Special guests included 3-year-old Katie-Anne, who
had just returned from her wish trip to see volcanoes
in Hawaii. We raised over $15,000 for Make-A-Wish
North Texas. This will help grant the wishes of two
very special and deserving children in our
region. With the addition of our auction this past
April, the total amount our chapter has raised thus
far in 2016 is over $144,000, granting 18
wishes!!! We love Make-A-Wish and we love Chi O!!

happy grandmother.
Prayers for Shannon Sullivan O’Brien as she
recovers from her illness!
Wishing a speedy recovery to Grace Anne Woodruff,
who broke her foot while jumping high hurdles for an
exercise boot camp!!
