    Introduction - English

    Connecting the Scanner - Keyboard Wedge1. Turn off power before

    connecting the scanner.

    2. Remove the keyboardconnector from the PC.

    3. Connect the cable'smodular connector tothe scanner.

    4. Connect the maleconnector to thekeyboard port in the PCand the female connector to the keyboard cable. You may need to use theDin/Mini Din adapter (included) to match your keyboard connectors.

    Connecting the Scanner - Serial (RS-232)

    1. Turn off power beforeconnecting the scanner.

    2. Remove the keyboardconnector from the PC.

    3. Connect the cable'smodular connector to thescanner.

    4. Connect the DB9

    connector to the serialport of the PC.

    5. Connect the power stealer cable to the keyboard port in the PC. (This cablepowers only the IT3800LTP.)

    6. Connect the keyboard cable to the back of the power stealer cableconnected in step 5.

    Trigger

    The following bar codes will allow you to use the reader in Manual Trigger mode

    (need to press the trigger to read), Automatic Trigger mode (the beam is alwayson), or Presentation mode (the reader is activated when it sees a bar code).

    Reread Delay

    This sets the time period before the scanner can read the samebar code asecond time. Setting a reread delay protects against accidental rereads of thesame bar code.

    Factory Defaults

    The following bar code resets all factory defaults.

    Visual Menu

    To obtain access to additional IT3800LTP features, use Visual Menu, availablefrom our website (www.handheld.com). Visual Menu download instructions andexplanations of the additional features are available in the IT3800/3900 UsersGuide (38/3900/DO/UG), which is also available from our website or from youraccount representative.

    Forma de Lectura (gatillo)

    Los cdigos de barras mostrados abajo, programan la forma de lectura del

    IT3800LTP. El Cdigo Manual Trigger le indica al lector que el gatillo debe serpresionado para efectuar una lectura. El cdigo Automatic Trigger deja el hazde lectura siempre encendido. El cdigo Presentation Mode deja el lectoractivo pero sin prender el haz de lectura hasta que vea un cdigo de barras.

    Retardo en Relectura

    Esto configura el periodo de tiempo en que el escner puede leer el mismocdigo de barras una segunda vez. Esta configuracin protege contra relecturas

    accidentales del mismo cdigo de barras.

    Forma de Leitura (gatilho)
