360° Advanced Operative Techniques in Skull Base Surgery University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill Location The North Carolina Eye Bank Multidisciplinary Surgical Skills Laboratory at UNC 3100 Thurston Bowles Building 104 Manning Drive Chapel Hill, NC 27599 Course Overview This interactive cadaver program is designed specifically for upper level residents specializing in Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery who have a desire to gain advanced knowledge and skills in skull base surgery. This course has a heavy practicum emphasis in which surgical approaches and procedures, the prevention and management of complications and clinincal outcomes will be covered. Discussion will emphasize basic and advanced endonasal approaches, approaches to the anterior skull base, as well as the anatomy and techniques of eyebrow craniotomies and open skull base approaches.
