November 2017 Winner Old Cars Weekly Golden Quill Award 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 Winner CLC Web Site Merit Award 2013,2014, 2015 Awarded Best CLC Regional Newsletter 2007-2008 33rd NTXCLC Regional Meet The 33rd Regional was held at the Classic Gas Motor, Sherry and Cris Lofgren owners, Arlington TX, Sunday October 8 ,and it was an Outstanding Regional for North Texas Region Cadillac & LaSalle Club. Seventeen splendid cars were on display for all 35 members and guests to feast their eyes and desires on. I was thrilled and very excited to see a 1959 black convertible follow me in the gate under the leadership of a never-before-at-a-meet new member Terry McKenzie, all the way from Longview, TX. Then not quite through drooling, a gorgeous dark maroon 1941 Cad Convertible drove in, having just restored and never shown before at our meets, by Gary Pennington of Weatherford. Following these beauties came the little ma- roon LaSalle Opera Coupe driven by Jeff Podmers, and then John McDaniels 1966 Deville Convertible black beauty. The general meeting held during the lunch held nominations for officers ,however only one nomination was brought to group. John Foust was nominated for President. The rest of the offices will have to be filled in your choice on your ballot in the next newsletter and sent to Cecil and Jo Thompson. We Thank Bill Kaufman for designing the Dash Plaques or plates and Best of Show award. John Foust de- signed and donated his awards with wood base and Goddess for first place, Peoples choice and Best of Choice. 33rd NTXCLC Regional Meet

The 33rd Regional was held at the Classic Gas Motor, Sherry and Cris Lofgren owners, Arlington TX, Sunday October 8 ,and it was an Outstanding Regional for North Texas Region Cadillac & LaSalle Club. Seventeen splendid cars were on display for all 35 members and guests to feast their eyes and desires on.

I was thrilled and very excited to see a 1959 black convertible follow me in the gate under the leadership of a never-before-at-a-meet new member Terry McKenzie, all the way from Longview, TX. Then not quite through drooling, a gorgeous dark maroon 1941 Cad Convertible drove in, having just restored and never shown before at our meets, by Gary Pennington of Weatherford. Following these beauties came the little ma-roon LaSalle Opera Coupe driven by Jeff Podmers, and then John McDaniel’s 1966 Deville Convertible black beauty.

It was delightful and fun filled afternoon browsing among our NTX spectacular some never seen cars and lots of different cars stored in several Quonset buildings of the of the owners ,the Lofgrens. For those that need to renew their regional membership this year, I (Doug Ashby) will be sending out renewal notices thru the mail to each and every person who needs to renew before the end of this year.

There are 16 car clubs that manage the Pate Swap Meet each year. If every member of the North Texas Region Cadillac & LaSalle club recruited just one new member each, we would be the biggest club in the swap meet. Remember, the member count, besides meaning a more fun and interesting club, gets the club a bigger share of the Pate income. If a member obtains 5 or more new members to the NTXCLC they will receive a free Club Shirt at the annual Christmas dinner.
