Switch between work and play with a few quick taps on your Android phone or tablet. Carry one device loaded with your favorite games and apps as well as your encrypted business email, contacts and calendar. All of this is now possible with AT&T Toggle and your company doesn’t mind one bit.

Before you begin using AT&T Toggle, ensure that you meet the following requirements:

• You have a compatible Android device, running Android versions 2.3 and 4.0.x–4.4. All Android devices running 3.x and versions below 2.3 are not compatible.

• You have Toggle installed on your Android device. Note: For help installing AT&T Toggle on your device, see the AT&T Toggle Android Installation Guide.

• You have a Google Account set up on the personal side of the device. • You have a stable Wi-Fi or 4G connection. • You have your email server connection set up and established.

To begin using AT&T Toggle, go to the applications menu on your Android device and click on the AT&T Toggle application icon. A prompt for your AT&T Toggle PIN appears. Enter the PIN you created during the installation process.

For convenience, you can add the AT&T Toggle application to your device desktop by pressing and holding the AT&T Toggle icon and dragging it to the device desktop.

You will see the following icons (Figure 2) on your AT&T Toggle application home screen. You may see additional applications depending on the applications your administrator has bundled for you.

The following sections describe the function of each of the AT&T Toggle icons:

The Personal icon allows you to switch to the personal side of the device at any time from within the business workspace.

ToggleHub is an enterprise application store which allows enterprises to roll out their own in-house applications and content. Selecting the ToggleHub icon provides access to business applications and content approved by your Toggle administrator. You can download applications and other content such as media and documents from ToggleHub onto your Android phone or tablet.

The ToggleHub application consists of three tabs: • Applications – Contains all applications that are available to

download to your device

• Media & Documents – Contains all media and document files that

are available to download to your device

• My Content – Contains all applications, media and documents that

are currently downloaded to your device

Note: Some applications available in ToggleHub may take you to Google Play

to install. Any apps installed this way will not be available within the

AT&T Toggle workspace. Instead they will appear on the personal side

of your device and will not be managed by AT&T Toggle.

The Browser application is a highly secure browser that allows access to websites approved by your Toggle administrator. If your Toggle administrator has enabled VPN for your AT&T Toggle workspace, you can access your corporate intranet from Toggle Browser.

When you click the Download icon on the AT&T Toggle Desktop, you see all of the documents and media that your Toggle administrator has made available to you, as well as any documents you have downloaded from email attachments or from Toggle Browser.

The AT&T Data Usage App provides a snapshot estimate of your current level of data usage. When you first access this app, a Single Sign-on (SSO) Login screen appears. Enter the username from your Toggle welcome email and the password you created when you first installed Toggle. Once you log in, the usage summary estimate screen appears. It dsiplays the breakdown for usage data by connection type: cellular, Wi-FI, and roaming, and by application:

The default usage summary period begins on the first day of the current month and ends on the current date. Click the tab or arrow icons on the upper-right side of the screen to change the usage period shown. Note: The actual data usage for which you are billed can be higher than the estimated data usage shown on the usage meter for various reasons including, but not limited to, using the device or the application while roaming, using your SIM card with another device, or using the application while outside the United States.

The Secure Gallery app displays any image files you have saved or downloaded within the AT&T Toggle workspace. You can save, download, and view image files (jpg, png, or bmp) from email attachments, ToggleHub, or from Toggle Browser.

The Messaging icon takes you to the business message inbox. The business message inbox contains all of the text, picture, and video messages received from your business contacts.

A contact must exist in the AT&T Toggle contacts list in order to receive messages from that contact using the Toggle workspace. If a contact is not in your business contacts, messages from that contact are sent to the personal side.

Note: AT&T Toggle Messaging is not available in Android 4.4 (Kit Kat). Messages sent to these devices will appear in the Personal space.

The OfficeSuite icon takes you to OfficeSuite Viewer, a document viewer, which allows you to open and view common file types such as ppt, pdf, and xls. With OfficeSuite installed, you can view email attachments and other documents within the other AT&T Toggle apps.

The free OfficeSuite document viewer is available to you as part of your AT&T Toggle Bundle. For more information about OfficeSuite Viewer, please visit: MobiSystems OfficeSuite Website

Note: Some functions of the OfficeSuite Viewer app (such as cloud storage) are disabled to preserve the integrity of Toggle.

The Apps and Widgets icon has two tabs:

The Apps tab is where you view the icons for all of the downloaded apps in your AT&T Toggle workspace. Open an app by tapping its icon.

The Widgets tab allows you to add icons and other widgets (such as an easy email view) right onto your AT&T Toggle desktop. To add a widget, drag and drop the desired widget onto your desktop.

On Android devices, AT&T Toggle offers a corporate dialer application. The dialer application allows you to make business calls to your corporate contacts. Other features include:

• Separate corporate / Personal call logs

• Inbound caller ID matching against contacts

• Shortcut widget to display number of missed calls

Note: Using Toggle Dialer without an active Toggle Voice account results

in minutes being billed to your personal account.

Your company may have included Toggle Voice in your bundle. Toggle

Voice allows you to make secure calls to your business contacts without

using your personal minutes.

If you have Toggle Voice, please refer to the Toggle Voice User Guide

document for instructions on how to use this application.

3: AT&T Mobile Security Note: AT&T Mobile Security (AMS) is an optional application. Your Toggle

administrator determines if it should be assigned to you. The AT&T Mobile Security (AMS) client is an Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware (AV/AM) application. The AMS client scans your entire device (both the personal side and the AT&T Toggle workspace, excluding encrypted data) periodically for viruses, malware, and suspicious applications. To manually initiate a scan, click the AT&T Mobile Security app icon on the personal side of the device. The “Scan Now” screen displays the total number of threats detected (viruses, malware, or suspicious applications).

Click Scan Now to see the 2 scanning options:

• Quick Scan • Full Scan

Select an option to initiate the scan. If you select Full Scan a pop-up message warns you that increased battery usage may occur. During the scan you can see the number of files being scanned and the current status. After the scan has completed, if no threats are detected, the “All Clear!” screen appears.

If you install an application that AMS detects as a threat, you get a security alert in the notification area of your device. A pop-up message lists the application identified as a threat and offers you options to uninstall it or to get more info.

If you uninstall the virus/malware/suspicious application, AMS provides an updated status showing “No Alerts."

Note: Your Toggle administrator may be notified if an AMS alert occurs on

your device. If you decide not to uninstall the detected virus/malware/suspicious application, your Toggle administrator may take security actions against your device. These security actions may include disabling Toggle or wiping Toggle from your device.

4: VPN The ability to use VPN is determined by your Toggle Administrator. IF your Toggle Administrator has enabled VPN, enter your VPN credentials when prompted. When you are within your AT&T Toggle workspace, a green icon appears in your status bar if your VPN connection is active.
