Friday 1st- Faversham Market
Located in Market Place from 9am until 4pm,
the heart of Faversham. Running for nearly
1000 years, the markets are mentioned in the
Domesday Book and holds the title as Kent’s
oldest market.
Saturday 2nd- Discover the Secrets to
Britain’s oldest brewer At Shepherd Neame
Located at Shepherd Neame Visitor Centre
10:40am until 1:40pm. For one day only! A
New series of
specialist history
tours will take
place in areas of
the brewery
usually hidden
from the public
view.

Sunday 3rd – Kentish Food and Craft Fair
at Doddington Place Gardens
Visit Doddington Place Gardens for their
Kentish food and craft fair with live Jazz music
from 11am. With over 20 local producers, this
is a great opportunity to sample what Kent
has to offer. Also, not to be missed the
Falconry display at 4pm in the gardens!

Monday 4th – Guided Orchard Tour at
Brogdale Collections
Take a trip to Brogdale and enjoy a guided
Orchard tour. You will be
taken round by some of
the most knowledgeable
people in Kent, who will
pick some of the best
fruit for you to try, with
over 4,000 different varieties, you are never
short of something tasty to enjoy! Tickets are
available upon arrival.

Tuesday 5th – Aquacise at Faversham
Pools
If you are looking for something to do, then

Wednesday 6th - Guided house tour at
Belmont House and Gardens
Tour round the rooms with a guide and learn
about the history of the magnificent neo-
classical house. View the hidden gems within
the house and end your tour with delicious
cream teas and homemade cakes at the tea
room (open 1pm-5pm).

Friday 8th- All’s well that ends well Theatre
performance at Belmont House and Gardens
The Changeling Theatre company will be at
Belmont House and Gardens performing ‘All's

Saturday 9th – Crafts and Collectables fair
at The Alexander Centre
The crafts and collectables fair gives you the

small collectables. The event coincides with
Faversham’s Saturday market and the
Faversham Society Open House scheme.

Sunday 10th – Open Gardens at
Doddington
A Unique opportunity to see private gardens
in Doddington not normally open to the
public. Award-winning allotments also open
for viewing.

Macknade fine
food hall is the
south-east’s
leading food
hall, offering
local and
international produce. Visit the shop and stop

Creek Creative has Jasper Moorhouse

Thursday 14th – Spoon carving workshop
at Belmont House and Gardens Learn the safe ways to carve and whittle. You will learn to safely and confidently perfect your techniques and by the end of the day,
take home your very own spoon, hopefully having some fun along the way too! Dress

Friday 15th – 70’s and 80’s night at West
Faversham Community Centre
put on your dancing shoes and dance the

Sunday 17th – Cherry Fair at Brogdale
Collections

collection of Cherries
in the National Fruit
Collection at the

horticultural talks and displays, entertainment
and local craft and produce.

Thursday 21st – Standard Quay
Standard Quay is home for several classic ships and boats including barges, traditional fishing boats, classic tugs and overnight moorings. A beautiful array of independent shops sit alongside the Creek. The Quay offers Creek side walking, shopping, eating and a chance to see Faversham’s living history. Saturday 23rd- Faversham Nautical
Festival Traditional Boats, Folk music and Creekside fun with fine ales, BBQs, Champagne and Oysters will all be at Faversham's fourth Annual Nautical Festival. Monday 25th - Fleur de Lis Museum
Small from the outside,
but a Tardis within. You’ll
follow Faversham's history
from the earliest
archaeological times to
the town it is today. From
gunpowder, bricks and brewing, hop farming
and printing, replica local shop fronts to the
period schoolroom and so much more.
Open: 10am- 4pm on Saturdays
Admission: £5 for adults, £3.50 for 60+ years
and £1.50 for children (5-16yrs) and full time

Tuesday 26th- Oare Marshes Reserve
Oare Marshes Nature Reserve is located on
the south bank of The Swale at Harty Ferry.
The well-sheltered marshland and mudflats of
Oare Marshes
provide a
superb habitat and
attract many
migrating birds
throughout the
year.

Place Gardens
Doddington Place have an NGS Day to support
the National Gardens Scheme.

Thursday 28th- St. Mary of Charity
The parish church of St. Mary
of Charity has roots that
extend back to pre-Christian
days. It is the largest parish
church in Kent, denoting the
importance of Faversham in
the middle ages. Notable features include the
reputed tomb of King Stephen. A beautiful
church with royalty to its past.
Opening times: 9am – 5pm (subject to
alteration due to services).
Friday 29th- Shrine of St. Jude
The National Shrine of Saint Jude, Apostle and
Martyr, is served by the Carmelite friars at
Faversham. The Shrine was built in 1955 and
people travel great
distances from within
the UK and abroad to
visit the Shrine and
pray.

Saturday 30th- Specialist clock tour at
Belmont House and Gardens
Starting at 1.30pm, Jonathan Betts, Senior
Horologist at the National Maritime Museum,
Greenwich, conducts a specialist tour around
the clocks of Belmont House.
Price: £15.00 per person this includes garden
entry.

Sunday 31st- Chart Gunpowder Mills
Centre of the nation's explosive industry for
400 years, the 18th century Chart Gunpowder
Mills are the oldest of their kind in the world.
Producing gunpowder powder from which
was used at the battles of Trafalgar and
Waterloo. Visit one of the very few fully
restored gunpowder mills in the country and,
given a suitable water supply, is fully working
here in Faversham.
