A. Compact each lift of grading layer with a smooth roller compactor.

A. The locations of the areas shown on the drawings are approximate. TheContractor shall verify the edges of the areas through visualconfnmation.

A. The Contractor shall take one non-composite sample from the center ofeach of the excavated areas (Areas AA, H, and I, and analyze forTCLP, VOCs, and metals (chromium, cadmium, mercury, and lead).

A. Landfilled materials within Areas AA, H, and I shall be excavatedcompletely with the excavated materials placed in Areas A, E, F, or G.The materials shall be moved with a loader bucket or dump truck.Pushing the materials between non-contiguous areas will not beacceptable.

5. Direct contact with geomembrane shall be minimized; i.e.,geomembrane in traffic areas shall be protected by geotextiles,extra geomembrane, or other suitable materials.

3. Methods used to unroll panels shall not cause scratches or crimpsin geomembrane and shall not damage supporting soil.

4. For slotted perforations, provide slots not exceeding lI8-in. wideand a length not more than 10% of the average insidecircumference. Center slots in the corrugation valleys and atmaximum 120 degree intervals about the pipe circumference.

A. Place pipe as shown on the drawings.

C. Completely cover within 20 days of removing protective wrappingfrom geotextile.

A. Handle all geotextile in such a manner as to ensure it is not damaged inany way.

3. For circular perforations, provide holes with a nominal diameternot less than 3/16-in. nor greater than 3/8-in. Also, provide similarrows of perforations on either side of the pipe's vertical centerline,with the lower most rows separated by an arc of 60 degreesminimum.

A. Place and compact backfill without damaging the geomembranes,geotextile, or perforated pipe.
