#3 - odor control

ODOR CONTROL Odor control is increasingly important as congestion increases, treatment facilities become constrained to populated areas and regulations grow. At left are upper and lower views of mechanical odor control scrubbers serviced with hypochlorite and ferric chloride to remove hydrogen sulfide from the bulk chemical storage below left. Below is an open bed lava rock biological odor filter under construction. The air distribution system being assembled will be covered with lava rack, and a growing bed for local vegetation. Humidified air and irrigation will sustain the vegetation and microorganisms in the filter bed which biologically degrade odors. If space allows, the bio-filter system provides a sustainable approach to odor control and removal .

ODOR CONTROLOdor control is increasingly important as congestion increases, treatment facilities become constrained to populated areas and regulations grow.
