Isaiah is one of the major prophets of the Old Testament that teaches us concerning salvation, concerning Christ, and also concerning the church. I would like to talk about this strong prophet of the Lord for a few Sundays and to check the “most important passages” that he wrote concerning the future that he himself did not understand.
There is so much to say about Isaiah, so please, I beg you to be patient because we are about to study all of the important things that Isaiah wrote in his book of 66 chapters.
Who was Isaiah? The meaning of His name is: God is Salvation.He lived almost 740-700 years BCThe first mentioning of Isaiah is found in 2 Kings 19:2His fathers name is Amoz, not the minor prophet Amos, but a man with the name of Amoz. Isaiah 1:1…Key words in his life: The Messianic Prophet!

"REASONING WITH GOD“
Isaiah is calling the people of his days and our people now days to reason with God, to reason and to understand that our God is a loving God.
•TO WHOM IS THIS INVITATION •GIVEN?
We often feel ourselves outside the boundaries of God's grace.
I've gone too far.I knew better.
"Children who rebelled against Him," verse 2.
2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For the LORD has spoken: " I have nourished and brought up children, And they have rebelled against Me;
The cry is not made to complete strangers.
Those who had been nourished by Him.
"Worse than animals," vs. 3.
3 The ox knows its owner And the donkey its master's crib; But Israel does not know, My people do not consider."
We hear of beastly crimes.I don't know of animals who do such horrible things as men are capable of.If you had an animal that did such things, you would shoot it.At least the ox and donkey recognize their source of provision.
"Loaded with iniquity," vs. 4.
4 Alas, sinful nation, A people laden with iniquity, A brood of evildoers, Children who are corrupters! They have forsaken the LORD, They have provoked to anger The Holy One of Israel, They have turned away backward.
"They had already been chastised," vs. 5.
5 Why should you be stricken again? You will revolt more and more. The whole head is sick, And the whole heart faints.
From head to toe, their bodies were covered with bruises.Still, they stood there in rebellion.How long would you put up with a dog that refused to obey you, that attacked you?
THE INVITATION, "LET US REASON TOGETHER."
Today we live in an era of non-reasoned religious experiences.Man is encouraged by the prevalent philosophy of the day to take a leap of blind faith.Blind faith not a biblical term.God's way is reasonable.
God has given us strong reasons to believe in Him.To study the complicated forms of life with their complex designs is more reasonable to believe in, a designer rather than random selection.The apostle Peter speaks of men who are willfully ignorant, rather than considering reasonable, alternative views.Creating new theories is preposterous.
The prophecies give us a strong reason to believe that God was speaking.That He knows what He is talking about.Isaiah is an eloquent spokesman for God in this regard, that is the reason why we will be taking many lessons from his book.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO REASON WITH YOU ABOUT? "THOUGH YOUR SINS."

That destroying blight in your life.That destroying blight in your life.Is it reasonable to choose a few moments of pleasure and spend eternity in hell over a few self denials and eternity in heaven? Is it reasonable to gamble with eternity? By taking a chance, God is lying. The Bible is not true. Jesus was a fraud. Is it reasonable to reject God's offer of mercy and forgiveness?
"THOUGH YOUR SINS.“
The word scarlet, has the idea of double dyed behind it. The material was left so long in the dye so as to permeate the very fibers.Has sin taken a complete hold on your life? Does it permeate the fibers of your being?I have good news for you. You may be as white as snow, before you leave. Is it reasonable to reject such an offer?
Isaiah 1:19…19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;
Ps 51:7 … Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Isa 43:26 … Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted.
Rev 7:14 … And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Heb 9:14 … how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
1 Jo 1:7 … But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
