Following up on their critically-acclaimed release “The Long Surrender,” Over the Rhine returns with the double album

“Meet Me At The Edge Of The World.” The band has again teamed up with Grammy®-winning producer Joe Henry to record timeless and vivid songs with striking harmony vocals.

The sprawling project was mostly inspired by Linford and Karin’s pre-Civil War brick farmhouse and acreage in rural Ohio, lovingly referred to as Nowhere Farm. The band recorded nineteen songs with a fantastic collection of backing musicians and a lovely guest appearance by Aimee Mann. With Over the Rhine’s signature mix of fierce beauty and contemplative lyrics, this album transports the listener to the rich soil and natural splendor of Nowhere Farm, a place to leave the edges wild, and rest awhile, a place that feels strangely like home…

Bike For Three! is the well-lucked and mysterious cross-continental duo of Canadian indie-rap legend Richard Terfry (Buck 65) and budding Belgian electronicist Joëlle Phuong Minh Lê (Greetings From Tuskan). Shrouded in strange magic, anchored by the heavy stuff of life, and lifted by a mutual magnetism still uncharted, their music is a bright/stunning combination of downtempo textures, smart pop, and exposed lyrical bones.

Over 15 years, Richard has carved out a corner of hip-hop history by unraveling ornate and dust-caked yarns, often over beat-addled soundscapes, as on his seminal “Language Arts” album series (Anticon released part three, Man Overboard, in ’01), and unadorned as well (he recently became host of CBC’s “Radio 2 Drive” show). For his last record, 2007’s Situation (released on Sage Francis’ Strange Famous label), the man crafted an entire song-cycle around the narrative minutiae of 1957—Rich’s love for a good story is famous. Considering, he couldn’t have found a better partner for his latest work.

Joëlle was raised in Brussels by her Vietnamese mother, a painter and a chef, and remembers fondly the piquant scents she’d chase around mom’s restaurant. She was infatuated with the piano at her primary school, and took lessons when she wasn’t painting or tinkering with music boxes. She learned cello too, pursued photography (she’s now a successful digital video artist), and studied music theory in college, where she discovered that art-making brought back her childhood memories in vivid detail. She has magic secrets—and perhaps a touch of clairvoyance—that she put to work in creating 2006’s striking Greetings From Tuskan LP debut, Lullabies For The Warriors. To this day, there are details that even Rich doesn’t understand about Joëlle’s immaculate productions. Naturally, that’s another detail that he loves.

Bike For Three!’s constituent parts have never met in person, and they might not ever. She found him, and their story unfurls in real time along with their songs. Joëlle sends Rich music; Rich writes to the moods and movements that she’s designed; Joëlle nurtures each piece into an animate whole. Bf3! actually finds Buck 65 eschewing traditional narrative forms in favor of an intimate stream of consciousness (offset by tight rhyme cadence) that mines the craggier depths of romance both requited and out-of-reach, real and imagined (which perfectly befits Bf3!’s working relationship). The things Rich wouldn’t speak of in conversation thus become part of the conversation happening on record.

So Much Forever, the second album for Bike For Three! is the anxiously awaited 50th release on Fake Four Inc.February 11, 2014.

Selling Points• First original music since Clark’s2012’s Iradelphic and Fantasm Planes

• Return to classic Warp techno sound with a progressive angle from one of Warp's greats

• New live show hit major US markets last fall w/ Jon Hopkins, 2014 dates confirming for Spring

Clark has been hard at work continuously progressing his sound since 2012's Iradelphic, which featured vocals, field recordings and live instrumentation for the first time. With this new 12" single Superscope, the Warp stalwart contin-ues to push boundaries, fusing with a sound he's been associated with in the past - one that belongs on a dimly lit dance floor.

Debuting an all new live show in London after touring the US with Jon Hopkins last fall, Clark has incorporated live visuals along the lines of the oscilloscope cover image, which he calls Phosphor, that is classic acid at it's core.

Hard biting white noise and cutting synths unite over a sputtering female vocal that would work themselves into an Underground Resistance set as easily as contemporary producers like Jacques Greene and the Night Slugs camp.

After featuring on both The Whitest Boy Alive records and since moving to Berlinin 2005, DENA has spent time honing her self-composed beats and finding her signature sound, before stepping into the limelight and gaining international recognition for her unique and fresh flavour. Support slots for the likes of Das Racist, Icona Pop, The Whitest Boy Alive and LCMDF and a jam packed schedule at SXSW earlier this year have seen her live show grow from strength to strength Top 10 international Pop-acts to rise in 2013.

Album features and past singles ‘Thin Rope,’ and ‘Cash, Diamond Rings, Swimming Pools’ were released by French label Kitsune and Greenwood earlier this year, the latter approaching 1 million plays on youtube and both causing a stir throughout the blogosphere. In contrast to DENA’s trademark avant-garde hip-pop demonstratedon them, ‘Bad Timing’ is a more muted affair about the feeling of constantly missing someone amidst the frantic rhythm of the city - pieced together from a collage of stories and reflected through her own prism of experiences. The simplicity and directness of her rhymes and self-programmed MPC sounds throughout‘Flash’ sets DENA apart from her peers, whose lyrics are often saturated with metaphors and nuance. The blend of late 90’s dance and R’n’B vocals with an added pinch of East European Folklore is certainly trademark DENA and a Flash of brilliance from an unorthodox creative with a love for old school beats.

Ekoplekz has previously released on a number of labels, but with Unfidelity the music aligns itself with Mu’s melodic sensibilities and lets the early 90’s electronica influences bleed in, although the album still has the intensely transporting feel that all his work possesses.

The title track is the big giveaway to Nick’s music if you’ve not heard it before. A hands on approach to music making, 4-track recordings, un-sequenced and murky with a molasses-thick harmonic drone that needs to come with a ‘do not listen to whilst driving heavy machinery’ warning, leaving you with a

mood flashback to the fuggy feeling of a teenage bong intake.

The music on Unfidelity has a dreamy, nocturnal feel. It’s perpetually damp, with muffled drums, cloudy dissonance and dubbed-out metallic squalls, it owes as much to King Tubby as LFO, or to the Radiophonic Workshop as Harmonia. Take Severn Beach's slowly building melodies over a bed of broken drum-machine rhythm. It sounds like a twisted memory of seventies TV holding music, or Sea 90's squealing metallic dub. Nerva Beacon is dreamlike: it’s nervous pulse

holding together a tense journey with an underwater feeling. Coalpit Heath is a skewed take on Jazz, with a delicate melody finding itself enveloped by rain, dubbed-out shivering fx and bubbling drums. Meanwhile Pressure Level is almost dub techno, mercilessly delayed melodies and noisy squall over a low dub bassline and a barely there drum kick and Tuning Out runs with Kosmische melodies and blended noise. The album finishes with Sleng Zen's rich orchestral chords, pattering drums and dubbed bleeps. We think this is Ekoplekz's most satisfying album to date and we hope you do

too.

The first Peak Twins LP is made up of nine tracks, all produced with producer Jack Farley throughout 2012 and 2013. A cover of the Fred Neil Torch song ‘The Dolphins’ accompanies eight original numbers, includ-ing the previously released 7” single, ‘Steppin’ Off’. The Peak Twins LP does not have two lead singers – it is fronted by a lone, powerful voice, supported by choir-strength backing, swimming in a sea of angelic guitars and flat-foot drumming. LP BSR045LP 0680569616937 $24.99 Forming in Brisbane 2010, Per Purpose have released a string of singles ‘n short sittings as a three piece rock band bent on twisting and changing just out of definable characterization. 2012 saw Mitchell Perkins join the fold on guitar, and it is with this meticulous element they’ve put together an album that could have only been assembled by local rock scholars. A sprawling mass of warbled trebly guitars & wound up rhythm, crowned with huff and puff gusto. It’s a remarkable deconstruction of what rock music can be – simultaneously achieving pop perfection while pulling everything to pieces and shoving nails in the cracks. They take guitar pop in ten different directions over the album’s ten tracks, yet as a whole the record has intent and pur-pose. The result of focused improvisation and watchful collaboration, this LP sees Bitch Prefect escape the aviary, toward parts unknown. Recorded almost entirely at home by the band (except for the singles ‘Adelaide’ and ‘Better Next Time’ which were recorded by Jack Farley at Transient Studios), Bitch Prefect continue setting the standard for what bands can achieve in their own right. Scraps has not gained her small but incredibly loyal and growing cult following through media saturation, blog hype, or a money backed promotional whirlwind. It has been acquired through the independent and uncompromising nature of her spirit, the authentic DIY quality of the music, and her honest approach to songwriting and performing. Strong releases on hometown Brisbane record labels Bedroom Suck and Disembraining Machine have complimented a dense discogra-phy of handmade, self-released material.

Her music is a unique cosmic universe of emotions, thoughts and bedroom sound. Utilizing a minimalist set up of drum machine, keyboard and synth mixed with a lifetime obsession for the electronic pop music of yesteryear allow Laura Hill's ideas to come alive. Although love is an in-spiration in a lot of the songs, the lyrics and themes mostly deal with the darker painful side of that irrational emotion. Depth comes in the way Hill can effortlessly blend the banal drudgery of everyday living with the abstract and surreal. All this set to some of the finest and catchy pop music this side of the 21st century.

Scraps has performed relentlessly all over Australia and abroad and elsewhere to a wide variety of people alongside an even wider variety of bands and artists. From inner city squat shows, art galleries, cafes, museums, drug fuelled clubs and disreputable pubs, to some of the biggest ven-ues in town as international support. The fact that Scraps can effortlessly transcend these often starkly contrasting spaces is a testament to the quality of her abilities as a songwriter and per-former.

Electric Oceans is a culmination of years spent lost in the independent music wilder-ness. Experience has been gained through Hill continuously pushing herself as a musician, artist and human.

“ "Ships" takes their fuzzy garage pop and colors it several shades darker, resulting in an ominous amphetamine-fueled

dirge full of screeching guitars, metronomic basslines, and cooly detached vocals. The Girls' pare down their sound to its

steely core on "Ships", using angular guitar work to sharpen their sunniest melodies to a bleeding point, making this the

most thrilling music they've released in their short existence.” (Pitchfork)

Cursing The Sea, the debut album from Ireland’s September Girls, is a dark kaleidoscope of echoey drums, buzzsaw

bass, angular guitars and reverb-drenched vocals that blends garage rock and post-punk to extraordinary effect. Paula

(Bass/Vocals), Caoimhe (Guitar/Vocals), Lauren (Keys/Vocals), Jessie (Guitar/Vocals) and Sarah (Drums) draw inspira-

tion from the likes of Phil Spector, The Velvets, The Cure, MBV and The Jesus And Mary Chain and play reverb-soaked

noise-pop of the finest order. Formed in Dublin in 2011, the band quickly began booking gigs in Ireland and the UK, be-

fore releasing a handful of well-received limited edition singles on various cassette and 7” labels around the world, most

recently on the Haus of PINS cassette label run by their kindred spirits PINS, with whom the band have also toured. This

release, for the song “Ships”, gave the band their biggest press to date, with a glowing review on Pitchfork. With four dif-

ferent songwriters and singers, each song begins with a secret life of its own, only to be unified by the distortion-drenched

harmonies and hazy pop stylings of the band.

Whirling around in a tornado of fuzz, dazzling harmonies, disarming lyrics and dizzying excitement, Cursing the Sea is

awash with enough attitude and great songs to see September Girls safely to shore. Huge amount of UK Press including

NME, Uncut, Sunday times, The Guardian, The Observer, Clash and many more.
