Emerging Technologies Changing the Face of RiskThe insurance industry is faced with a quickly evolving world. Everything from autonomous vehicles to the legalization

of marijuana to 3-D printing has an impact on the indus-try. This Super Session will consider how the industry can prepare for and manage the risks associated with emerg-ing issues. Technology Super Session: CHUNKA MUIAuthor of Unleashing the Killer App, Billion-Dollar Lessons and most re-cently, The New Killer Apps

Sponsored by

Embracing the FutureRapidly maturing technologies like autonomous vehi-cles, mobile devices, social media, the Internet of Things, cloud computing and artificial intelligence are trans-forming how we live, work and play.

For example, driverless cars and trucks could reduce tens of millions of injuries and deaths each year, world-wide, while greatly reducing transportation cost and re-source utilization. At the same time, millions of jobs and trillions in revenue will be thrown up for grabs. Every worker and company in the automotive, insurance, fi-nancial services, transportation, logistics, energy and retail industries (just to name a few), could be affected.

Similarly massive technology-fueled dislocations will occur in entertainment, media, manufacturing, consumer products, healthcare, and every other sector of culture and commerce.

Chunka Mui will offer unmatched provocative insight into these trends. He will help you understand the impli-cations on personal, professional and organizational lev-els and provide the insight to be ahead of the curve and the essential tools to proactively embrace the future.

TUESDAY Keynote: MIKE ROWE, CEO mikeroweWORKS Foundation

Sponsored by

Happy, Dirty PeopleWhy has America declared a war on

work? Mike Rowe will give us an illuminating account of the true nature of skilled labor, and why it’s being deval-ued by the media, advertising, and even the government.

Why are people who do dirty jobs some of the happiest people you’ll ever meet? How do they achieve a work-life symmetry others can’t? What lessons can we learn about teamwork, determination, efficiency, and our definition of success? With conviction, humor and deep humanity, Mike Rowe will bring us face-to-face with Americans who are simply doing their jobs, happily and well. In the process, he will remind us of the enormous but forgotten benefits of hard, honest work, and how it affects everything from our national identity to our infrastructure to the economy.

REGULATOR TOWN HALLRegulation and reporting requirements are ever chang-ing and evolving. Changes in the market, economy and even technology create the need for advancement and changes in how insurers do their business, and how states regulate the insurance industry. With this, understanding and collaboration between regulators and insurers is key.

Seize this opportunity to talk with State Examiners and NAIC staff about regulatory questions, clarifications of new guidance, and where they see new regulation focus over the next few years. This session will provide an open forum to discuss various topics focused on accounting, markets & valuation, investments, and risk/solvency.

Career Skills Super Session: DENNIS SNOW, Snow & AssociatesDelivering World-Class Customer Service: Lessons From The Mouse Customers have more choices than ever, with the result that most products

and services are increasingly seen as commodities. So, in today’s market, what can an organization do to stand out from the crowd? Differentiating your service is the key to attracting and retaining customers — while driving bottom line results. More than ever customers are focused on value — what you can do that other organizations cannot or will not do. Customers want to know that you are focused on earning their ongoing loyalty.

Based on his 20-years with the Walt Disney World Com-pany along with many years of consulting with organiza-tions around the world, Dennis Snow will provide a “how-to” program for creating a service-driven culture. Join us for this Super Session and leave with strategic tools that can be used to raise the bar of service throughout your organiza-tion, resulting in “walk-through-fire” customer loyalty.

IT TOWN HALLAsk any question and let your voice be heard in the IT Town Hall! Ongoing system replacements and upgrades, security, managing costs, retaining talent, new technolo-gies, innovation, and delivering results are just a few of the many priorities IT leaders must juggle. Join us in this open forum session as a panel of industry professionals, along with outspoken audience members, will answer your questions and share their experiences managing in-surance IT. Don’t miss this perennial favorite!

TUESDAY IASA TECH TANK — Technology and A.R.F. Tracks combined sessionJoin this fast-paced session to learn more about the innovations that are shaping our industry now and in the near future presented by IASA and Global Insurance Accelerator (GIA).

from our own IASA sharks! Supported by insurance company investors and focused on promoting insurance industry innovation, GIA’s 100-day mentor-driven program gives InsurTech startups guidance on strategy, concept and industry feasibility. During this session, accounting/financial, operations and technology-focused judges, along with audience members, will hear pitches and ask tough questions, and then vote for the leading InsurTech team, with real-time results posted live after each pitch.

IASA’s Executive Roundtables are presented exclusively for insurance company senior executives. Timely content, a highly interactive program, and unparalleled peer networking are some of the many benefits of IASA’s Executive Roundtables.

• Enjoy individual events held for Chief Information/Technology Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Operating Officers and Chief Investment Officers with content tailored to the specific needs and interests of each group.

• Take actionable information back to your workplace.

• Earn CPE credits by attending timely sessions during the IASA Executive Roundtables.

These important events are held in conjunction with the IASA Annual Educational Conference & Business Show — register to attend the conference and your registration for the roundtable(s) is complimentary! Events will be held at the Orlando World Center Marriott.
