their taking over as host to the 15th AKF Cadet, Junior and U-21 Championship.

Karate is a worldwide sport and the inclusion of Karate in the Olympic programme is our

goal. Last year, the Organising Committee of Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games included Karate into

the programme. The good news encouraged every one of us. I believe that Karate will become

more and more popular in the near future.

In this memorable moment allow me to welcome all officials, athletes and supporters of

Asian Karate Federation (AKF) to Indonesia. It is our great honor to host The 15th AKF Cadet,

Junior & U21 Championships from 25th – 27th November 2016 in Makasar, South Sulawesi.

Makasar is one of the main developed cities in Indonesia, owing genuine hospitality and superb

natural resources. We are delighted that all participants and families will experience the joy,

leisure, while maintaining the focus to participate in the championships.

May I to take this opportunity to extent our high appreciation and gratitude to the

President of AKF, Mr. Chang Kuang Huei and the Executive Committee, for the trust and ongoing

supports to FORKI and the committee of the championships.

Thank to Allah SWT because of Him, 15th AKF CADET, JUNIOR & U - 21 CHAMPIONSHIP

2016 could be implemented in Makassar city, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia.

As representative of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government, I would like to welcome of the

implementation of the 15th AKF CADET, JUNIOR & U - 21 CHAMPIONSHIP 2016, and I do

appreciate for the initiative of the committee to realize at once the success of the championship.

I hope through this championship could be born tough and prestigious karate athletes that can

bring the good name of each country in international events.

Finally, on behalf of the Provincial Government of South Sulawesi I express my gratitude

The rules and regulations for hotel booking stated in this bulletin are applicable on all Referees attending the seminar. Please Note: The host shall charge US$100 to the referee examinee, if he/she makes the hotel arrangement not through the organiser, or book the unofficial hotels. The same Regulations will be valid to all partisipants.

Committee of Asian Karete-Do Federation Cadet, Junior & Cadet Championship 2016.

2. After receiving the application, and verifying your booking reservation, a performance

invoice will be emailed to the applicant National Federation (NF).

3. Upon receiving the performance invoice, the applicant NF shall pay 50% of the total amount

within 7 days from the date of invoice, failure in this procedure will cause the booking to be

considered null and void.

4. The remaining balance (50% of payment) shall be paid in full before NOVEMBER 2nd, 2016

5. For any booking applications received after NOVEMBER 2nd, 2016, upon receiving the

performance invoice, the applicant NF shall pay the full amount within 7 days from the date

About South Sulawesi

South Sulawesi is one of the province of Indonesia which is located in Sulawesi

Island one of the biggest island in Indonesia. South Sulawesi diverse with 29

region and Makassar as the capital. South Sulawesi surrounded by waters,

Makassar Strait at the west, Bone Bay at the east and Flores Sea at the South.

Strategic Position of South Sulawesi serve it as one of the central for both the east region of

Indonesia and for international scale.

Culturally, South Sulawesi as part of Indonesia has a diversity of ethnics

and languanges, Bugis, Makassar, Mandar and Toraja as the dominant

About Makassar City

MAKASSAR, is the capital of South Sulawesi and the focus for the province's

business, services, industry and transport. Its key location means as the main

gate for most goods and people passing between Eastern and Western

Indonesia go through Makassar's international airport and container port –

the largest in Eastern Indonesia, Makassar

The city is southern Sulawesi's primary port, with regular domestic and international shipping

(3086.1 mm). The month with the most precipitation on average is January

with 28.9" (734.1 mm) of precipitation. The month with the least precipitation on average is

of 187.0 days of rain, with the most rain occurring in January with 27.0 days of rain, and the least

Do’s and Don’t

Makassar is generally a laid back and relaxed place. However, we do have our own customs and

visitors should try to observe these practices when they arrive. Some common courtesies and

customs are as follows:

• Shoes must be removed when entering homes and places of worship such as mosques

and temples. Some mosques provide robes and scarves for female visitors. Taking

photographs at places of worship is usually permitted but always ask permission

beforehand.

can serve the movement in the city and up to
