Growing our future, by supporting our youth today.

Dear Guests,

Thank you so much for believing in our kids and supporting their col-

lege aspirations.

We desire to make tonight a fun and pleasurable experience for you. If

you have any needs please ask one of the alumni members in the blue

shirts to help you.

The vision of the alumni is to use scholarships to recruit incoming

freshman into the vocational agriculture program at Sandy High. We want students that are active in the FFA, proficient in academics, lead a

balanced life and give back to the community. We believe students pos-

sessing these qualities should be inspired and encouraged to pursue

their life’s passions.

The Sandy FFA Alumni supported 9 Sandy High Seniors this past year

with Scholarships of over $9,000. This next year we have budgeted about $10,000 to support an expected 7 seniors. One of the perks we

offer students is a $500 academic bonus to their scholarship if their cu-

mulative GPA is over 3.5. Our scholarships can be used to pursue any career path the students’ desire.

All of tonight’s net proceeds will go to fund our local scholarships. Our

state-wide scholarship is funded by corporate supporters and other fundraisers.

We have booked next year’s event at Persimmon for Friday, October 12, 2012. I hope to see you there!

Thank you for your excellent support

Quade Sheehan , USCG Stationed in Washington DC Throughout my time in the FFA I learned valuable life lessons, skills and endless wisdom. The FFA let me realize the impact that one can have on people. While serving as a Oregon FFA State Officer, I was constantly focused on self presentation and professional-

ism. Currently I am in the USCG Ceremonial Honor Guard. I proudly perform in high profile ceremonial operations for the Military District of Columbia, the President of the United States and the Commandant of the Coast Guard. We also lay to rest the remains of our fallen shipmates. The FFA has helped to build an incredible foundation to what could be a fun and exciting career. Thank you FFA!
