At last the most awaited event took the great shape the Club envisioned it to be! It was the Anniversary of all anniversaries! Truly I am grateful for all thememberswho, handinhand, madethisbigdreamaflashingreality.Wecannot forget, of course, the many sleepless hours, brainstorming, nitpicking and conceptualizing behind the scenes of the members of the Diamond Jubilee Celebration Trilogy. Our congratulations and deep gratitude to PPRaffyChan,PPDomingValenciaandPPVeehBalajo!
Definitely, the honest and real reason for this successful bash is ourmembers’ presence – galore and all! So I quietly go around eye popping enjoyinghoweveryone tooktime to make theevening trulyours andmadealltheguestsfeelthattheycompleteourcelebration!Iamsurewecamenotonlytofillandourspaceatourdiamondstagebuttoassertandstrengthen, renew and recommit our life to Rotary!
Many thanks too to PP Gerard Audineau, PE Uwe Koeller and Rtn. Naas Demyttenaere, DGE LindaWinter Rotakid Jen, SAA Jun Bondoc and Rtn.Laniwhosharedtoomuchextratime, effortandcaremakingsureoursisterClubs, the Rotary Club of Bukit Bintang and our love PP Seichi Morita, were most comfortable and enjoyed their short visit to our city. As they have emailed lately, they found their visit a truly memorable one!
We have blessed with our sister Clubs, the Rotary Club of Wonju, the Rotary Club of Bukit Bintang and the Rotary Club of Matsubase, through PP Seichi Morita, for theirgenerousgifts forourcommunityprojects.Thesekindassistancesurelywould reachourcommunitieswhose liveswehavetouchedinsomanydifferentways.Wesayourgratitudeandwishthebestforthesegiftgivingclubs!
On a truly sad and unfortunate note, our fellow Rotarian, the Love Guru and great friend, Rtn. Abe Estrada, gave us his goodbye to meet our Creator. Rtn. Abe, in his brief stay with the Club, has lived up, to what a Rotarian shouldbe.HeknewhisRotarytime, dresscode, clubparticipation, thecallofcommitment and what fellowship truly is. He was passionate about making uspartof his life.Hisfinestmoment reallybrought thehousedown-wewere part of his life! He made sure we have felt his passion in our hearts! Our good Rotarian, may you rest in peace with the Lord!
Please mark your calendar, Fellow Rotarians!
