10 billion MNT ($8m) is spent every day to build Oyu Tolgoi

9250 Mongolians are working to develop the project

In 2011, Oyu Tolgoi spent over 1.7 trillion MNT ($1.3bn) with about 1000 Mongolian national suppliers

Over 1,700 Mongolian companies have contributed to building Oyu Tolgoi since the beginning of the project.

In 2011, Oyu Tolgoi purchased 3 billion MNT ($2.2m) goods and servicies from approximately 200 Umnugobi suppliers

50 Local Umnugobi businesses were expandad through the 1.5 billion MNT ($1m) fund available at local banks.
