This year, International Moscow Automotive Forum celebrated its 10th anniversary. The Forum took place on 27–28 August within the framework of MIMS Automechanika Moscow 2019 exhibition.
IMAF 2019 is organised by ITEMF Expo together with the Association of European Business, Russia.
The main topic of the 10th International Moscow Automotive Forum was: “The automotive industry to meet the future: global prospects”.
In 2019 the Forum gathered 200 experts and professionals of automotive industry.26 reports were presented, and on its second day, the Forum was traditionally concluded with a session of direct B2B negotiations of car producers and wholesale buyers with suppliers of auto components and spare parts.

The Forum’s Partners
Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association (OIB) – was established in 1991 as Uludağ Vehicle and Auxiliary Industry Exporter’s Association (UTAYSIB). The company has been deemed the export leader for many years.
auto.ru – one of the largest auto trading portals in Russia that hosts over half a million listings by individual sellers and auto dealers from around the country.
DLA Piper – a global law firm with offices in more than 40 countries throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific.
FORI GROUP – a group of companies including Fori, TTOkroglica Slovenia, For Rus Russia, and Fori textile Serbia. The Group is a global manufacturer of car interiors that ensure comfortable driving experience for the drivers.

For the purposes of the first meeting of the speakers of the plenary session, a business breakfast was traditionally organised that was attended by the Forum partners, as well as the speakers.

Sessions of Day 1 of IMAF 2019:
• Russian automotive market: market status assessment, development forecast• Analysis of regulation and development prospects of the automotive industry• Special investment contracts (SPIC) 2.0• Prospects for implementation of innovative solutions/products• Electric cars. Need for optimisation of energy system, establishment of technological
leadership and environmental protection• Development of autonomous vehicle industry
The first day of the Forum included reports on current issues by the representatives of state structures and top managers of automakers, representatives of Detroit Consulting, DLA Piper, Autostat AA, KPMG Russia, auto.ru, Skolkovo Foundation, PwC Russia, Autonet NTI, HERE.

Plenary session: Future of Russian Automotive Industry

Sessions of Day 2 of IMAF 2019
The second day of the Forum centred around topics related to the prospects of new technologies and innovative components localisation which was considered from two different viewpoints: the opinion of purchasers and that of suppliers. The second day of the Forum also included a session dedicated to Special Economic Zones and cluster policy.
The discussions involved representatives of KPMG companies in Russia; Volkswagen Group Rus; AVTOVAZ RENAULT NISSAN PURCHASING ORGANISATION; DAIMLER KAMAZ RUS; Fori Group; Special Economic Zones; GESTAMP SEVERSTAL VSEVOLOZHSK; Togliatti Industrial Production Special Economic Zone; Lipetsk Industrial Production Special Economic Zone.

IMAF 2019 was traditionally concluded with a session of direct negotiations of automakers and wholesale buyers with vendors. This year, the event included over 100 thousand meetings between the buyers and vendors.
