THE AIM AND CONTENT OF THE PROJECT

PROJECT AIM: Carry out and test lifelong learning program for professional qualification development in the field of landscape architecture.

PROJECT EXPECTED RESULTS: During seminars, study trips and on-line training in 6 – 12 month period that includes five actual topics in the field of landscape architecture, professional development pilot program will be established and tested in the supervision of Federation of German Landscape Architects (BDLA).

The established pilot program testing will last from February till August 2015. During the testing pilot seminars will be organized where all landscape architecture professionals and interested parties, including representatives of self-governments will be invited to participate.

THE ACTIVITIES OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PILOT PROGRAM ARE DIVIDED INTO 3 STAGES – START, ACTIVE AND THE FINAL STAGE (see scheme No.1):

• Start or Stage 1 – the training material annotations of professional development pilot program training topics, which have been selected based on field surveys carried out among professionals, will be available on lifelong learning e-platform;

• Active or Stage 2 – five pilot seminars including training trips are expected (see Table No.1). Field professionals from Germany and other Baltic Sea region countries will perform in pilot seminars in Latvia and Germany;

• Final or Stage 3 – completing the test on-line and obtaining the license for mastering the professional development pilot program.

In addition there is an opportunity to go to the pilot seminars organized by Lithuanian Association of Landscape Architects and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.

THE PERIOD OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PILOT PROJECT: from February 2015 till September 2015.
