For24years,theNOIPChadbeenpresentedannually.Startingin2012,NOIPCbecameabiennialevent.The3FinalistswillreturntoNewOrleansonJanuary8,2017,forConcertoShowcaseIXinwhicheachwillperformwiththeLouisianaPhilharmonicOrchestraconductedbyCarlosPrieto.Trulyaninternationalcompetition,the2016pianistswhocompetedinthePreliminary/RecordedRoundrepresentedthe28followingcountries:UnitedStates,China,Serbia,Japan,SouthKorea,Vietnam,Malaysia,Taiwan,Georgia,Ukraine,Italy,Germany,Israel,India,Romania,Russia,Canada,Hungary,Australia,Mexico,Kazakhstan,Slovenia,Cyprus,France,UnitedKingdom,HongKong,Brazil,andSyria.
