This internationally acclaimed piano competition has drawn 186 pianists representing 28 countries from around the world who competed in the Preliminary/Recorded Round of the 2016 New Orleans International Piano Competition (NOIPC). The 12 Semifinalists invited to compete in New Orleans this July are: Scott Cuellar, USA Christopher Goodpasture, USA Matthew Graybil, USA Yewon Jeong, South Korea Saetbyeol Kim, South Korea Yejin Noh, South Korea Kyle Orth, USA Liana Paniyeva, Ukraine Alexander Soares, United Kingdom Xiaohui Yang, China Hyun Ji You, South Korea Re Zhang, China Contestants will compete for cash prizes and performance fees as follows: First Prize: $15,000 Recital at London's Wigmore Hall Concerto performances with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, Acadiana Symphony Orchestra Concerto Showcase featuring the 2016 NOIPC Finalists and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra Solo recital on Loyola University's Montage Series An exclusive one-on-one career development consultation with executive leadership at Astral Artists. www.astralartists.org
