IRONMAN NZ EVENT – 4 MARCH 2017Pursuant to the Transport [Vehicular Traffic Road Closure] Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that for the purpose of enabling the holding of the 2017 Ironman NZ event, various roads will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic for the periods indicated hereunder:

Periods of Closure:

• Tongariro Street – From Spa Road to Lake Terrace – Saturday 2am to Sunday 2am

• Lake Terrace – From Tongariro Street to Kaimanawa Street – Saturday 2am to Sunday 2am

• Story Place – From Tongariro Street to Redoubt Street – Saturday 2am to 6pm

• Ferry Road – From Tongariro Street to the Boat harbour – Saturday 5am to 10am

• Tamamutu Street – From Gascoigne Street to Tongariro Street – Saturday 2am to 6pm

• Tamamutu Street – From Kaimanawa Street to Titiraupenga Street – Saturday 8am to 6pm

• Motutaiko Street – From Spa Road to Tamamutu Street – Saturday 8am to 6pm

• Broadlands Road – From Centennial drive to Taupō District Boundary – Saturday 7am to 4pm

• Centennial Drive – From Rakaunui Road to Broadlands Road – Saturday 7am to 4pm

• Heeni Street – From Warewaka Road to Secombe Park Reserve Access Road – Saturday 8am to 12pm (midnight)

• Rainbow Drive – From Charles Crescent (North) to Aubrey Crescent (South) – Saturday 8am to 12pm (midnight)

Any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of the objection and grounds thereof in writing before 3 February 2017 at the office of the Council, 72 Lake Terrace, Taupō.

It will be an offence under the above Regulations for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.
