25 YEARSThe cinema sector - and indeed the wider film industry - has changed tremendously over the past 25 years. Major film releases are now truly global events, simultaneously creating excitement amongst cinema-goers in the US, Europe, Asia and emerging markets around the World. At the same time, the conversion to digital cinema technology and other upgrades to theatres have enabled operators to provide an unparalleled and increasingly diverse entertainment experience to billions of cinemagoers.
CineEurope continues to be at the forefront of efforts to explore and showcase these exciting changes in Europe. For a quarter of a century, the show has accompanied and supported the European cinema community on its unique journey, with unforgettable stops in Amsterdam, Brussels, and - for the past five years - the beautiful city of Barcelona.
This year, together with our partners, the International Union of Cinemas (UNIC), we look forward to celebrating CineEurope’s 25th Anniversary.
