EMBARRASSING MOMENT: I was called up on stage during Friday morning assemblyto receive a medal for winning the high jump at a track meet. Father Stanstopped and made me tie my tie in front of the entire school. After slitheringback to my seat and sliding down as low as I could, I was finally regaining mycomposure a little when Fr. Stan decided to revisit the issue from the podium say-ing "Just because a kids thinks he's a jock, doesn't mean he doesn't have to fol-low the rules...right Jim?" After many years of therapy, I am finally makingprogress on this issue. My counselor said that if I keep going, he may even giveme a weekend pass so I can attend my class reunion.
DONE DIFFERENTLY: I regret the way I treated Sister Rosella and wish I wouldhave studied my Spanish a bit more instead of stealing the exams.

EMBARRASSING MOMENT: There were so many...but one was when we were on stagepracticing for our class's infamous adaptation of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"(remember Cindy Lut What?). During one of the breaks, John Reuscher violated mypersonal space (to put it nicely). His action caused me to unleash a curse wordthat was picked up by the microphone I was holding at the time. To my horror,the word reverberated throughout the auditorium. Due to all the commotion onstage, the only person who heard it was Fr. Engle...and he let me have it.
DONE DIFFERENTLY: I can't think of anything I would have done differently. Wehad a great class and had great times....and I still managed to get into college!
TELL MY FRIENDS: Still some of my best memories. We were fortunate to have asmall high school where we got to get to know everyone. I still keep in touch withseveral of my best friends from high school (I call them collect, of course).
