Ground Works1.1 Clear and align the ground according to the dimensions in the drawing.

1.2 Dig the trenches under a foundation 1 ft deep and 1 ft wide.

1.3 Fill the trenches to ground level with concrete and let cure, or harden. Since curing times vary

between brands, read the packaging for recommended curing times.

1.4 Once the concrete has cured, use standard-sized bricks and lay them across the foundation.

You will need roughly 200 bricks for this step.

inch and install them into the frame according to the drawing.

Assembling the Rafters and Wall FramesAt this step, you will need 3 1/2” x 5 1/2” material to create the rafters and the wall studs.

4.1 Cut 12 boards for the rafters.

4.3 By using this interlocking method, you add more stability to the structure. Secure the

rafters and studs using 3x5” wood screws.

Install the Metal Roofing6.1 Prepare the sheet metal (23 Gauge) by making the necessary cuts and bends.

6.2 Use 1 1/2 " sheet metal screws and neoprene washers to secure the roofing. Self-tapping screws cost a little more but make this step easier.

Front Door Assemble And Installation9.1 Assemble the frame from the pressure-treated lumber with cross section 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 " with 5" wood screws according to the drawing. Prepare and install 9/16" plywood sheet.

9.2 Install door trims from the pressure-treated lumber with cross section 2 1/2 x 3/4" according to the drawing.

9.3 Install three 6" door hinges using 6x2" wood screws. Finish the door installation by attaching 4" surface bolt and 6" door pull (see figures K,L).

Inner Coop's Door Assemble And Installation11.1 Assemble the frame similar to the Step 20 from the pressure-treated lumber with cross section 3 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch with 2x5" wood screws according to the drawing. Prepare and install 9/16" plywood sheet.

11.2 Install door trims from the pressure-treated lumber with cross section 2 1/2 x 3/4" according to the drawing.

11.3 Install three 6" door hinges using 6x2" wood screws. Finish the door installation by attaching 4" surface bolt and 6" door pull.

Aviary's Door Assemble And Installation12.1 Assemble the frame from the pressure-treated lumber with cross section 2 1/2 x 1 1/2" with 2x5" wood screws according to the drawing.

12.2 Prepare 1/4" wire mesh in the required quantity and install it on the inner side of the frame with the help of industrial stapler.

12.3 Install three 6" door hinges using 6x2" wood screws. Finish the door installation by attaching 4" surface bolt and 6" door pull.

Window InstallationIt is necessary to prepare 2 windows.

13.1 Using 1 1/2” x 3/4” pressure-treated material to create the window frames and cut to the dimensions indicated in the following illustration. Additionally, cut a 3/4” x 1/2” support member that will run horizontally and 3/4” x 3/4” support member that will run vertically in the window frame. Use 2x2” wood screws to secure. On the inner left side, it is necessary to cut the grooves for hinges.

13.2 Prepare 1/4" wire mesh for window according to the dimensions.

13.3 Make the inner frame from the pressure-treated lumber with a cross section 3/4 x 3/4 inch. On the inner side, it is necessary to mill the groove for glass. On the outer left side, it is necessary to mill the grooves for hinges.

13.4 Prepare and install glass into inner frame groove and fasten it by window beading from four sides. Use for this 1/2" galvanized nails.

13.5 Install hinges (4") and assemble the window.

Assembling the Nesting Box14.1 Use 1 1/2” x 3 1/2” and 3/4” x 3 1/2” pressure treated material to create the frame for the nesting box and use 2x4” and 2x5” screws to secure them.

14.3 Using 3/4” x 1 1/2” and 1 1/2” x 1/2” material, cut and install the roost as shown in the illustration.
