Time Warner Cable IntelligentHome

IntelligentHome’s Playback feature lets you capture continuously recorded video on one or two cameras 24 hours a day for up to 10 days. So if you go on vacation for a week, you won’t miss a thing.

Back from a trip and want to see how your pets fared while you were away? Just got home and something seems amiss? Check Playback. It’s all there.

From the IntelligentHome customer website, you can view, create and save a clip. If you’re looking for a specific event, you can skip right to a particular day and time.

Getting started

Enter your IntelligentHome User ID and Password to log in to the customer website. Once you are logged in:

Select either the 24/7 Playback tab located in the main navigation bar toward the top.

Click the VIEW 24/7 Playback link found under the Cameras section.

Access Playback via the customer website www.twc.com/ihcustomer For the best experience, please use Chrome 30+ or Internet Explorer 11+

Once the Select Camera window appears, you can choose which camera playback to view or temporarily turn off the recording from either camera.

To select a camera, click on the desired camera and click Close to view recorded video.

To temporarily turn off recording, click the ON/OFF button under either or both camera images. Remember to turn your camera(s) back on to restart Playback.

Click the Playback menu to switch to another camera.

Menu Options On the Camera Playback and following screens, you’ll see an icon for Menu Options in the upper left.

From here, you can click the menu for options:

Cameras - to switch to the other camera.

Go To Date/Time - to view video from a specific date/time.

Make Clip - to create or save a clip.

Saved Clips - to view, download or delete saved clips.

Show Motion - to turn Motion Icon ON/OFF.

Select the desired Playback speed of your recorded video.

The timeline displays the current hour in the center, indicated by the green bar.

Expand or compress the timeline using the Adjust Timeline arrows.

Jump ahead or back on the timeline using the corner arrows.

Play recorded video from the past by clicking and dragging the hand that appears when you hover over the timeline.

Camera Playback Once you’ve selected a camera, the video from that camera will appear in the window. From this screen, you can choose how you want to view Playback.

To view recorded video via the Go To screen: Select a date and enter the desired time.

After you’ve made your selection, click Go.

Go To Time The Go To Time feature allows you to “jump” to a specific date and time on previously recorded video.

Click on the box to select a clip to Save.

Then select either Download or Delete.

Downloaded clips will be saved to the default Downloads folder for your particular OS (Windows or OS-X).

Managing Saved Clips From the Saved Clips window, you can easily Download or Delete a clip.

Choose the length the of clip you would like to create.

The highlighted area on the timeline indicates the clip length and time of day selected.

Click Save.

Name the clip.

Click Save again. Then wait to see a message that your clip was saved successfully.

Making a Clip The Make Clip feature allows you to create, save or download a clip from previously recorded video.

To view with motion icons, click Show Motion.

To hide motion icons, click Hide Motion.

Hide/Show Motion Indicator The Hide/Show Motion option lets you display or hide motion events on the timeline.

NOTE: Each green indicator represents approximately 3 minutes of recording and may represent more than one motion event.

Click Show Motion to display motion event indicators along the timeline.

Then click Make a Clip. Please note the timeline will expand when you click Make a Clip.

Click and drag the open hand icon that appears above the timeline to navigate to the motion event you wish to save.

Now select the length of clip you want to create. The motion icon that represents the clip you wish to save appears inside the green highlighted area.

Simply click Go To Time, enter the date and time you wish to save, then click Make a Clip. Choose the length of clip you want and click Save.

If you want to go to motion events within a specific date and time, click Go To Time, enter the date and time, then select Show Motion.
