While you wait...practice using the whiteboard. Use the tools to show where you are right now. To draw a line use . To write use then t to change to 12 pt.
Getting used to Elluminate• Click to ‘put up your hand’ to speak
• Click to say ‘all is good’!
• Click the ‘Talk’ button to say something..
...and then the same button to switch it off!
• Use these to change the volume
• Click to ‘leave the room’ momentarily
• Click ‘applause’ to clap!** Please be aware that Moderators can see ALL messages, even private ones.

Getting used to Elluminate
YouTubeWatch the video that will soon be coming to you via a web tour (3 minutes – make sure your volume is turned up). When you are finished click the ‘X’ to close the window and come back here.... and then write ONE WORD on the board which explains how it makes you feel.
YouTubeThis is where you click to get the ‘embed’ code to put the video into Moodle etc.

To get a link (for email or a link in your Moodle, simply copy it from the web address at the top of your browser.
Teacher/Tube• Great for uploading your own videos, especially if you
have learners who can’t access YouTube (firewalls etc) • It is as much a ‘community of educators’ as a place to

Download from here. It will download as a Zip file – open it where required i.e. Inside a Moodle or on a student network drive etc.
