Mongolia at PDAC 2016

PDAC International Convention, Trade Show & Investors Exchange is the world’s leading convention for people, companies and organizations in, or connected with, mineral exploration and mining.

The convention has been taken place annually since 1992 under the leadership of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC).

This is the opportunity to meet over 1,000 exhibitors and 23,500 attendees from over 100 countries and, to attend technical sessions, short courses and networking events.

PDAC 2016 is scheduled on March 6th- 9th in Metro Toronto Convention Center, Toronto, Canada.

Mongolia is preparing to participate actively in PDAC 2016.

Ministry of Mining, Mineral Resources Authority, Mongolian Embassy to Canada, Invest Mongolia Agency and Erdenes Mongolia and Association of Investors in Mongolian Mining are working together for Mongolia’s Program at PDAC 2016.

Key objectives of Mongolia Program at PDAC 2016

• Promote Mongolia’s exploration and mining potentials, and the Government Policy on regard to the industry and FDI

• Update on latest developments in the industry

• Present prospective investment projects

• Have good discussions on progresses and challenges in the industry for building trust and good relationships with businesses and investors

Mongolia’s Plan for PDAC 2016

1. Mongolian Mining Exhibition for March 6th- 9th

• Present Mongolia’s geology and mining potentials

• Present major mining companies in Mongolia

• Present available areas for new exploration tenements through tender

• Introduce Investment Environment and Doing Business in Mongolia

2. Mongolian Mining Forum for 9.00 am- 12.00 pm on March 8th • Distinguished speakers including the Government Officials, Heads of

Government Implementing Agencies and Chief Executives of major mining companies will speak

• Potential business and investment prospects in Mongolia will be presented a) Erdenes Mongolia LLC, the country’s largest mining holding company,

will present investment projects. b) MRAM will present potential exploration areas, which will be

announced through competitive tender.
