CARROLLTON WATER FACILITY SEWAGE AND WATER BOARD OF NEW ORLEANS
ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATING
Citrine provided conceptual design and project estimating services for various electrical project upgrades at the Carrollton Water Facility. Projects included new and retrofitted pump stations, medium voltage substations, and 20 MW of AC-DC power conversion. For each proposed project, our team provided a technical overview, cost estimates, associated advantages and disadvantages, approximate required time to implement, and an estimated return on investment.
CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN AIR FORCE STATION COLORADO SPRINGS, CO
ENGINEERING STUDIES
Citrine performed reliability and
availability studies to various
power systems within the
Cheyenne Mountain Air Force
Station. Our analysis included a
review of existing equipment,
interconnection configurations,
and IEEE design standards. The final project report supported the
expansion of the station’s electrical systems by improving efficiency,
reliability, and safety in operation.
GSA REGION 10 - OREGON, WASHINGTON, ALASKA
ARC FLASH STUDIES
Citrine performed building surveys
and electrical studies for the General
Services Administration (GSA) in
Oregon, Washington, and
Alaska. Our team of licensed
electricians and professional
engineers documented the
equipment condition and rating
details needed to update electrical one-line diagrams and create a
detailed electrical model of each building’s electrical system. The model
was used to perform electrical engineering analysis including short circuit
studies, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies. The formal
report included equipment and safety recommendations along with high
quality arc flash labels that complied with NFPA 70E safety requirements.

BACKFLOW PREVENTION/CROSS CONNECTION CONTROL SURVEY
Citrine performed backflow
prevention/cross connection control
surveys for buildings across the
JBER base – spanning over 400
square miles. We identified all
potential cross-connections and
recommended corrective actions for
any identified cross-connections
found. We inventoried all installed backflow prevention devices,
determined their suitability to the hazard present, and identified any
corrective actions. The goal of providing recommended corrective
requirements actions and ensuring the base’s compliance with Safe
Drinking Water Act (SDWA) requirements was achieved.
MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, MONTANA
ELECTRICAL SURVEY Citrine performed an electrical survey of two buildings on Malmstrom Air
Force Base. Citrine identified the status of the electrical service loads in
the buildings to determine
additional power requirements
in order to prevent overloaded
circuits. We surveyed the power
from each panel, verified the
panel breakers, determined
maximum loading of each panel,
and updated the panel
schedules. We generated a one-
line of each panel with current power loads and the Main Distribution
Panel (MDP).

ARC FLASH TRAINING
Citrine provided several NFPA 70E
electrical safety trainings for WAPA
and NIST; in-person, and virtually.
The training was based on the 2018
NFPA 70E standard and OSHA
regulations and included low voltage,
high voltage, and arc flash safety
topics. The training was presented by
an NPFA Certified Electrical Safety
Compliance Professional (CESCP). The training included presentation
materials, the NFPA 70E standard reference book, and completion
certificates for all attendees.
