It’s Summer Reading time At YOUR Lowville Free Library. Earn great prizes by signing up and record-
ing the amount of time you spend reading during the nine-week event. There are weekly programs every
Tuesday for each age group, from kids to adult. Prevent the “summer slide” and motivate your family to
get into reading. You can choose to listen to an audio book, read a magazine, download an eBook, or
pick out your graphic novel. With special programs, crafts, and field trips, there’s lots of Summer Read-
ing fun for your whole family
Mark these dates on you calendar:
June 1: Registration begins and continues through the summer.
June 28: Weekly classes begin!!!
June 29: Storywalk Event @ DEC: Crafts, Story, & Fishing Take walk in the “Enchanted Forest”
Bring your camera you never know what Story Book characters you might see!!

July 7-9 Book Sale
July 19 Library closing early at 6 p.m. enjoy the Lewis County Fair Parade
July 26: Harry Potter Day Field trip : Bus to Canton for trivia, and to play Quidditch ! **R Ages 12-21

July 31: Library Garden Tour

August 3: Take part in the Library Olympics **R

August 17: Summer Reading Prize Picnic @ DEC . Crafts, Story, Performer: Tom Sieling: Take a
Tromp in the Swamp, Picnic , Meet the author: Liana Mahoney
August 20 : Working Wheels Fundraiser @ Lewis County Fair Grounds
August 22: Easy Storytelling Workshop. Fun 5 day event , ending with a performance of your new
storytelling technique skills.
