You are invited to participate in 21 days of prayer to combat COVID-19, and all of the surrounding situations that people may struggle with during this pandemic. In Christ, we are overcomers, and we are designed by God to live in victory in the midst of every season of life. This is only possible when we stay connected to God through worship and prayer according to His Word. The following prayer guide includes various sections each day that will help you stay focused on God and His will according to His word.

Day and Date: To keep you on track, each day is numbered along with the current date. If you fall behind, don’t worry. Just pick up with the current day and go back to previous days when you have extra time.

Focus: Under each topic is a prayer focus for the day. This is a specific emphasis you will address in prayer.

Prayer Points: There are several prayer points that will guide you through your time of prayer according to the topic and focus.

Scriptures: Bible verses are threaded throughout each day to keep you tethered to His word. Feel free to pray through the verses.

FOCUS: Refocusing Our Hearts

๏ Take the time today to “pour out your heart” to God. Be honest with what you are feeling and thinking in this current moment. Tell Him your concerns, He cares about you!

Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. (Psalm 62:8)

๏ Ask the Lord for clean hands and a pure heart; to remove anything in your heart that is hindering you from Him. Ask Him to help you yield to Him and what He wants to do in your life during this season.

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalm 139:23-24)

But if we confess our sins to God, he will keep his promise and do what is right: he will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing. (1 John 1:9)

๏ Closing Prayer/Declaration: Sovereign God, you are my ever-present help in times of trouble. I thank you for renewing me in your presence, restoring to me your perspective and revealing new things to me as I spend these next 21 days seeking you and praying for an end to COVID-19.

๏ Pray for protection of those with domestic violence in the home; may they have the opportunity and the courage to reach out for help.

Defend the weak and the fatherless: uphold the cause of the poor and oppressed. (Psalm 82:3)

๏ Pray restoration in marriages.

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.  And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. (Colossians 3:13-14)

๏ Pray for fathers and mothers who have been emotionally absent in the home and in the lives of their children. Pray that there is restoration and healing within the family unit.

He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; (Malachi 4:6)

๏ Pray that families would desire to be strengthened by serving the Lord together.

But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)

๏ Closing Prayer/Declaration: God, we thank you that you are the God that heals and brings restoration. We speak restoration to the families that are broken and hurting right now, in Jesus’ name. We thank you for the hearts of parents turning to their children and children to their parents.
