YWCA of San Diego County presents the 20th annual In the Company of Women benefit luncheon to celebrate extraordinary women and shine a light on courage and strength in our community. In addition to an inspirational keynote, the signature event includes the Tribute to Women & Industry Awards (TWIN) and an exclusive VIP bash with the speaker following the event.

Proceeds benefit YW programs for individuals and families overcoming domestic violence and homelessness.

Kathy Najimy is best known for her work in more than 30 films, including Sister Act, Hocus Pocus, Rat Race, and the voice of Peggy Hill on King of the Hill,

as well as her current roles on VEEP, Younger, and Graves. She is also a celebrated advocate on the frontline of a myriad of progressive social causes, most recently #MeToo and Time’s Up. Outspoken, energizing, and inspirational, Najimy combines her acting and talents with a passionate commitment to equality, women’s leadership, and issues ranging from body image and self esteem, to the safety and welfare of women and girls, to LGBTQ rights.

The Tribute to Women & Industry Awards (TWIN) recognize women in a managerial, executive, or leadership role for their extraordinary achievements. TWIN honorees are inducted into a longstanding, prestigious group that has honored women since 1980. Three additional awards provide another dimension of recognition.

TWIN MENTORThis professional woman motivates her colleagues to achieve their potential by providing career coaching, guidance, and development opportunities in the workplace. She promotes the advancement of women and often unknowingly serves as a role model through her commitment to professional excellence, equitable workplace practices, and meaningful career opportunities.
