– Iraq- most combat troops out by 2010, Sunni/Shiite based parliament reinstated, with both a Sunni and Shiite prime minister
– Iran- after lengthy negotiations led by Obama, Ahmadinejad finally recognizes that the Holocaust did occur, and acknowledges the existence of Israel; uses nuclear plants for energy only
– North Korea- Kim Jong dies, amiable socialist state emerges and has nuclear plants for energy use only
Foreign Policy cont’d
– More (UN backed) US, EU, AU involvement in Sudan, Nigeria
– Cuba- embargos lifted– Travel allowed in banned countries (Iran, N.
Korea, Cuba, Colombia)
Finance
– Gas- tax increased– Eventually, marijuana
legalized but heavily taxed– Taxes used to improve
national infrastructure– Public transportation more
prevalent Ex: monorails, high speed trains
– College price decreased thanks to Obama’s volunteer/tuition plan
Social Issues– Gay marriage legalized in more
states (California yesterday)– Illegal Immigration: pathway to
citizenship, worker program. – Spanish becomes an official
second language in California, New Mexico, Texas, Florida, and New York.
– Less people are on welfare because more jobs are opening up thanks to infrastructure development in rural and older urban areas
– People accept their differences and just get along.
– Healthcare provided to those who want it

Energy/Environment
– No drilling in Alaska, Florida
– Wide use of solar power, geothermal, nuclear, and other clean/renewable energy sources.
– China/India- use natural gas for 4 years until renewable energy so prevalent it is cheap enough for India and China to promote and use on a mass scale
– People apologize to Al Gore

Foreign Policy
– Iraq- combat troops remain, more incidents such as using the Koran for target practice instigate Al Qaeda even more, thus perpetuating the war; military bases remain
– Iran/Syria- preemptive strike due to possible sighting of weapons of mass destruction
– North Korea-preemptive strike due to possible sighting of weapons of mass destruction
Finance
– Gas- taxes lifted, then reinstated, then lifted again; income tax rebates remain
– Gas use increases due to lifting of tax, even though renewable resources are being researched and developed more.
– Illegal immigration stagnates due to failing economy
– Trade deficit continually increases due to oil prices
Social Issues– Gay marriage – constitutional
ban, marriage defined a between a man and a woman
– Illegal Immigration: billion dollar fence built, but a temporary worker program instilled
– Marijuana use increases, despite building of expensive border fence.
– Welfare reformed, having stricter policies, but the same amount of people are on welfare
– Healthcare will not be a governmental responsibility, but a responsibility of the individual
– Roe v Wade overturned
Energy Environment
– We begin drilling in Alaska and off the coast of Florida for oil, until those sources are depleted
– Wider use of solar power, geothermal, and other clean/renewable energy sources, but only when the gas tax is reinstated
– China/India- fight the US for oil from NATO countries, and win the battle
– People continue to belittle and deride Al Gore
