Conditions and General Information - CDI & CDN Competitors

The Boneo Summer Dressage Championships will be conducted in strict accordance with the currentedition (including amendments) of: FEI General Regulations; FEI Veterinary Regulations & FEI DressageRules and 2022 Equestrian Australia Dressage Rules.

COVID-19

The event schedule is subject to change based on the regulations that will apply at the time of the event.All competitors, grooms, owners, officials and visitors must adhere to the current Victorian Governmentand Equestrian Victoria COVID restrictions and regulations that apply during this event. Moreinformation will be provided to competitors closer to the event. All participants and visitors to the venuewill need sign in using the venue’s QR code to gain admission to the venue

DRESSAGE TESTSThe Equestrian Australia 2019 Dressage tests will be used for all EA events.For all Pony and Open Championships the B and C Tests will be used.

ELIGIBILITY AND ACCEPTANCEAll horses and riders must be EA members.

A maximum of 35 combinations will be accepted at each level. For classes which don’t requireperformance qualification, entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis until the class is fullysubscribed. Subsequent entries will be placed on a reserve list.

Please note that as a result of the limited number of competitions in Australia during thepast twelve months the EADC have granted an exemption to the normal performancerequirements for CDI sanctioned events. The following eligibility will apply for the 2022Boneo Summer Dressage Championships:

CDN-P: Open to riders from the beginning of the calendar year in which they reach the ageof 12 until the end of the calendar year they reach the age of 16. Ponies must be at least 6years of age and must not exceed 148cm without shoes. No performances required.

CDN Grand Prix The combination must be eligible to compete at Grand Prix level underrule 4.8.3.2. One performance of 60% in a Grand Prix test is required in the previous twelvemonths.

CDI-3* Grand Prix Two performances of at least 63% at Grand Prix level in the previous twoyears.

CDI-J: Open to riders from the beginning of the calendar year in which they reach the ageof 14 until the end of the calendar year they reach the age of 18. Horses must be at least 6years of age. One performance of 60% at medium or above level is required in the previoustwelve months.

CDI-Y: Open to riders from the beginning of the calendar year in which they reach the ageof 16 until the end of the calendar year they reach the age of 21. Horses must be at least 7years of age. The combination must be eligible to compete at this level under rule 4.8.3.2and one performance of 60% at PSG or above level is required in the previous twelvemonths.

CDI-U25: Open to riders from the beginning of the calendar year in which they reach theage of 16 until the end of the calendar year they reach the age of 25. The combinationmust have achieved at least one performance of 60% in Intermediate A or Intermediate B,or Intermediate II or Grand Prix tests in the previous twelve months.

Para-Equestrian: Open to all FEI registered para equestrian riders, riders may compete from thebeginning of the year in which they reach the age of 14.

Small Tour, Medium Tour & Intermediate II CDN: No performances required however riders must beeligible to compete at the level as per EA rule 4.8.3.2.

EA Preliminary – Advanced Championship and Young Horse/Pony Classes: No performances required

The Organising Committee does have discretion to make exceptions in special circumstances to acceptcertain combinations in consultation with the EADC and Selectors.

Freestyles

CDN Intermediate I Freestyle – Open to the top 10 placegetters, who received a minimum score of 58%,in the Intermediate I competition.

CDI*** Grand Prix Freestyle – A horse must obtain a minimum score of 60% in the qualifying Grand PrixCDI competition to be eligible to start in the Freestyle competition. Limited to 15 horses. A rider maystart only one (1) horse unless entries are below 15 horses and approved by the FEI.

CDI-U25 Freestyle: Open to horses that obtain a minimum score of 60% in the U25 GP. It is compulsoryfor riders to enter and take part in the U25 freestyle should they qualify in the U25 GP. A rider may startonly one (1) horse.

CDI-Y: Open to horses that obtain a minimum score of 60% in the CDI-Y Individual competition. A ridermay start only one (1) horse. A maximum of 8 horses will be accepted.CDI-J: Open to horses that obtain a minimum score of 60% in the CDI-J Individual competition. A ridermay start only one (1) horse. A maximum of 8 horses will be accepted.

CDI Entry Requirements

Riders may participate under the jurisdiction of the country of which the rider holds his/her passport

Riders may ride more than one horse as per the FEI Schedule.

Riders should be aware that the FEI considers any withdrawals without a valid excuse after the definiteentry date as serious.

All horses entered for a CDI whether at home or in foreign countries, must have an official FEIPassport, or National Passport approved by the FEI, as a means of identification and to establishownership. (Gen. Regs. Art. 137). EA Horse I.D. documents are available from the EA National Office.Riders must ensure that they have the appropriate documents on arrival. Enquiries EA 02 8762 7777.

All riders and horses participating in FEI events (at this event all CDI classes) must be registered on theFEI database. Registrations must be renewed each calendar year. EA collects the charges on behalf of theFEI. Registration forms are available on the EA web site. www.equestrian.org.au or contact the NationalOffice. Please note that this registration is required even if the horse has an FEI Passport or EA NationalIdentification Document.

Advertising and Publicity on competitors and horses (Gen. Regs. Art. 135.1-2): The competitors areauthorised to carry the logo of their personal sponsor on the saddle cloth in accordance with Art.135.1-2. Riders with privately organised sponsorship may display a "logo" of their sponsor on theirsaddlecloth. The area covered by this logo may not exceed 200 sq. cm. A sponsor’s label on jackets mustnot exceed 80 sq. cm at the height of breast pockets. Please note that if more than one sponsor logo isplaced on the saddlecloth, the area covered by all logos may not exceed 200 sq. cm as above. The ChiefSteward will check that the advertising and publicity on competitors and horses complies with Article135 of the General Regulations.

Liability: Riders and/or owners whose entries have been accepted will undertake to indemnify theOrganizing Body against all claims, losses, suits, and damages made against or suffered by the OrganizingBody by reason of any negligent act or omission on the part of any rider, trainer or attendant whilst he isattending, riding or otherwise handling a horse and agrees that act or omission on the part of such rideror attendant found in any action against the Organizing Body to be negligent, shall be deemed to havebeen negligent for the purpose of any claim under this indemnity.

Entry refunds: Prior to the close of entries a full refund less the administration fee will be given forscratchings. After the close of entries, 50% of the entry fee will be refunded on receipt of a doctor’s orvet certificate submitted to Event Secretary, 312 Boneo Road, Boneo, VIC 3939 within 7 days of the

event. Please notify all scratchings in writing to the Event Secretary, [email protected].

Horse feed will be the responsibility of the competitor and can be ordered from Total Animal Supplies.Phone 03 5976 8880.

THE FEI CODE OF CONDUCT

Sampling procedure for Prohibited substances – FEI Vet Regs, Chapter V & VI and Annex III. Horses willbe subject to sampling for Prohibited Substances.

FOR THE WELFARE OF THE HORSE

The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) expects all those involved in international equestrian sportto adhere to the FEI’s Code of Conduct and to acknowledge and accept that at all times the welfare ofthe horse must be paramount and must never be subordinated to competitive or commercialinfluences.

1. At all stages during the preparation and training of competition horses, welfare must takeprecedence over all other demands. This includes good horse management, training methods,farriery and tack, and transportation.

2. Horses and athletes must be fit, competent and in good health before they are allowed tocompete. This encompasses medication use, surgical procedures that threaten welfare or safety,pregnancy in mares and the misuse of aids.

3. Events must not prejudice horse welfare. This involves paying careful attention to the competitionareas, ground surfaces, weather conditions, stabling, site safety and fitness of the horse foronward travel after the event.

4. Every effort must be made to ensure that horses receive proper attention after they havecompeted and that they are treated humanely when their competition careers are over. Thiscovers proper veterinary care, competition injuries, euthanasia and retirement.

5. The FEI urges all involved with the sport to attain the highest levels of education in their areasof expertise.

BONEO PARK CODE OF CONDUCT

The Boneo Park Equestrian Centre is an exclusive, private facility and in the interests of ensuring theenjoyment and safety of all users the following code of conduct applies. Management at Boneo Park canuse discretion at any point in time to determine access to the facilities and are not limited to the codebelow.

Insurance: All owners and competitors are personally responsible for damages to third parties caused bythemselves, their employees, their agents or their horses. They are therefore strongly advised to takeout a third-party insurance providing full coverage for participation in equestrian events at home andabroad, and to keep the policy up to date.

Each person visiting Boneo Park understands and complies with the following:

I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the Australiangovernment and health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing. I furtheracknowledge that Boneo Park can not guarantee that I will not become infected with theCoronavirus/Covid-19. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by theCoronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others,including, but not limited to, staff, and other riders and their families.I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attendingBoneo Park. I attest that:

● I am not experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficultybreathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or newloss of taste or smell.

● I have not returned home from international travel within the last 14 days.● I do not believe I have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of

the Coronavirus/COVID-19.● I have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and not yet cleared as non contagious

health authorities.● I am following all recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting my exposure to the

Coronavirus/COVID-19.

Personal Conduct

A person must not do any of the following whilst at Boneo Park:

● use indecent, obscene, insulting or threatening language● behave in an offensive or indecent manner● cause serious alarm or affront to a person by disorderly or unsafe conduct● obstruct a person in the performance of that person’s work or duties● Boneo Park management do not tolerate the use, transfer or possession of illegal drugs on the

premises. Anyone found using, transferring or in possession of any non-prescribed illegal drugwill be ejected and may be handed over to the police.

Riding Conduct

● Approved AS/ NZ 3838 safety helmets must be worn at all times when riding

● The FEI Code of Conduct for the Welfare of the Horse must be abided by at all times

● Smooth soled and heeled boots are worn.

● Riding of unsaddled or unbridled horses is prohibited

● Arena etiquette is observed including:○ Left hand to left hand○ Walking give right of way○ Diagonal changes have right of way

● Uncontrolled horses are removed from the arena

General Conduct

● Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times

● Speed limits must be adhered to at all times

● Only designated parking areas can be used

● Horses are not to be tied up to floats or trucks unless using twine and supervised

● Alcohol must not be consumed by anyone subsequently riding

● Smoking is prohibited in the stable area

● Children under 14 years must be under strict supervision at all times

● Horses must be led along laneways not the main drive

● Cars and vehicles are not allowed on horse laneways

● Please be aware that all fences are electric.

Anyone who does not abide by this code of conduct may be requested to leave the facility. Boneo Parkmanagement reserves the right to refuse entry to any individual.

Competitors acknowledge that Boneo Park accredited media and/or Racing Victoria may Record them

during the event and that they consent to this Recording and the use of their likeness or voice as part of

any recording of the Event, and use by Racing Victoria or Boneo Park for the publication by Racing

Victoria and Boneo Park on their websites and/or social media channels including, but not limited to, the

OTT Community Platform, and the advertising and promotion of Racing Victoria and its programs.
