INTERNSHIPS
Founded in 1853, Arcadia University is a leader in international education. The first group of Beaver College women traveled overseas in 1948 to study the economic effects of World War II in Europe, paving the way for generations of students to study abroad. Over seven decades later, Arcadia University continues to offer excellence in international education and has integrated it as a core component of the higher education experience.LEARN

Arcadia lives up to the mantra of “Learn Everywhere.” Part of studying abroad really made me open my eyes to taking lessons at any and all opportunities. It’s not always about the classroom and it is certainly not always about the grade, but it's definitely about what you can take away from the lesson.”
Rachel ShafferIllinois Wesleyan University
Will I have authentic
involvement in the
local community?
Will this program give me the best
academic experience?
What life skills will I take away from this?
How will this experience be meaningful for me?
Learn and enrich the whole you – from wonderful academic
development to personal and professional growth and fulfillment.
It's Applied Learning in action – learn as you go and use your

you have a whole new level of confidence and ability.
Educating the whole you – what does that mean?
Educating the Whole YouOur goal is to help you develop and enrich
your life in different ways: intellectually,
through personal development, through
building lifelong friendships, by cultural
experience, with authentic community
engagement, contextualized academic

Beyond The ClassroomWhile you are abroad, Arcadia offers you many opportunities to pursue
experiential learning outside of the classroom. What will you learn about other
cultures and communities? About the importance of understanding difference
in today's globalized economies and societies? How will this experience help
you build your résumé and shine with employers and graduate schools?
