Dear Parents,

After a summer like we had last year, we couldn’t be more excited for this summer of 2021!  As we’ve prayerfully been preparing for this new season we have been more and more aware of the need to “Carry the Torch.”  Campers at Trail Ridge this summer will be reminded of their responsibility to be a good steward of the Gospel in their generation.  This job is not one to be taken lightly as we prepare to accept the torch from our predecessors, faithfully carry it and plan to entrust the torch to the next generation.  Each week, your campers will be confronted with life-changing truths from God’s Holy Word during the chapel sessions as well as devotional times.  Trained counselors will assist campers in navigating the Bible throughout the week at camp.  Wholesome meals will be served up by our kitchen staff with careful consideration for your campers needs.  Our volunteer staff will ensure a clean and functional environment for all who attend camp this summer.  As usual, a priority position is given to the healthcare and safety of our campers with a camp nurse on site for the duration of each camp week.  In a celebration of God’s faithfulness, we are extending to all summer youth campers a buy one, get one free registration.  That means that all campers will have the opportunity to invite a friend, neighbor or sibling to join them during their week of camp absolutely free.  We know many have been affected financially in the past year.  With that in mind, we invite you to share your financial needs with us regarding camper registrations and apply for a scholarship.  Many faithful supporters have given to camp with your financial needs in mind, and it would be our joy to extend a scholarship to your family if you’re in need. We hope you, your family and your friends can join us for camp this summer.  As a staff, we’re excited to see what God will do in the lives of our campers during this 2021 camping season!

Junior High Camp is for young people in 6th-9th grades.  This middle school group will be in for an exciting week as we enjoy all-camp competitions, learn new skills and participate in chapel.  Our camp kitchen serves up

p h e n o m e n a l meals during Junior High Camp to fill those notorious hollow legs the campers always seem to have.

We look forward to exploring God’s Word during personal and group devotions, chapel sessions and our weekly Scripture memory competition.  This year during Junior High Camp, we’ll learn the right way to celebrate National Mac ‘n Cheese Day!

Teen Camp is for teens in 9th-12th grade. Campers are going to have a great week of getting to know other teens, participating in some intense competition, and hearing nine different chapel sessions throughout the week.

Each year, Teen Campers have enjoyed participating in “Christmas in July” at camp. Cabin decorating contests, Christmas cookies, and Christmas sales at the snack shop and camp store are all part of the festivities. We will

celebrate Christmas in July a bit early this year, so make sure you bring a few decorations for your cabin and an outfit for the Christmas banquet!

We know many families have been hit with financial hardships related to COVID-19: the sickness, the reaction to it, and the lasting impact. We do not want a financial situation to prevent you from sending your camper(s) to Trail Ridge this summer. Over the years, many have given to camp with your financial needs in mind. If you’ve been negatively impacted in the last year, do not hesitate to contact us regarding a scholarship for your family this summer.
