She then got transferred to Nassau Community College in the Physical Plant Department. In 2005, she became involved in the union thanks to NCC/ CSEA Unit President. Ana became involved in Region 1’s Health & Safety committee to learn how to protect the members and herself from all of the potential hazards on work sites. Jerry then asked Ana to run on his team as one of his Delegates, next as one of the Vice Presidents and after that she made the decision to run for a Unit President at Nassau Community College. This is now her second term representing almost 500 members from custodians, laborers, electricians, plumbers, maintenance mechanics, HVAC, clerical staff, nurses, accounts, IT, Librarian Assistance, lifeguards and Public Safety. She is also a Grievance Representative and a CSEA Local 830 Women Committee Chair.

It matters to our colleagues. It matters to the communities we operate in, and it matters to the organizations we support.

Aon is proud to support the Nassau Community College Foundation and congratulates this year’s gala honoree, Northwell Health’s, Joseph Moscola.
