Big Game Limited License applications can be submitted online at cpwshop.com and by phone at 1-800-244-5613.

The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Communications Center (303-297-1192) is not able to submit applications

over the phone, but can offer assistance and answer questions.

Step 1: Purchase your Qualifying License and Habitat Stamp (18-64).

Required & nonrefundable

A current-year (March 1, 2020 – March 31, 2021) qualifying license is required in order to apply for the big-game draw(s). Qualifying licenses are:

Annual resident and nonresident small game

Annual resident combo small game/fishing

Annual resident senior combo small game/fishing

Annual resident and nonresident spring turkey

Resident veteran lifetime combo small game/fishing

Resident first responder lifetime combo small game/fishing Hunters who wish to purchase a leftover limited or over-the-counter big game license DO NOT need to have a qualifying license.

You will only see the page below if you have not had your hunter education verified with Colorado Parks and Wildlife or if you are missing information on your account.

Please fill out the necessary information needed and add your license to your cart.

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1949, is required to have a hunter education card to hunt in Colorado. A hunter education card is required to apply for or buy a hunting license. Your hunter education card must

be carried while hunting, unless it is verified and your license is marked with a “V.”. CPW honors hunter education cards from other states, provinces and countries. If you have not taken hunter education, please

visit your hunter education page.
