University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Chandigarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Chandigarh was established in 2002 and is con- stituent institute of Panjab University, Chandigarh. Well- equipped laboratories provide the exposure to the students towards practical aspects of engineering. UIET offers under- graduate, postgraduate as well doctoral courses in engineer- ing and basic sciences. Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh is one of the oldest in- stitution of higher education in the India. It was first estab- lished in 1882 as University of Punjab at Lahore. PU got his present campus at Chandigarh in 1956, Pierre Jeanerette de- signed the red sandstone university campus under the gen- eral guidance of legendary French architect Le Corbusier. Since its incorporation in 1882 and subsequent relocation to Chandigarh in 1956, PU is devoted to excellence in teaching, learning, and research. PU has created a culture of inclusion that supports and learns from the diverse skills and perspec- tives that exist in its community. Panjab University, Chandigarh Government College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Jammu was established in 1994 and is affiliated to University of Jammu, Jammu. The College New Campus at Chak Bhalwal, Jammu was inaugurated by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister Jenab Ghulam Nabi Azad on August 12, 2006 and all the departments are fully functional. Institution is building its reputation step by step with a dedicated goal of adding value to life and professional standards. GCET offers Undergraduate programme (Engineering and Applied Sci- ences).
